Hacking Any way to start over?

I am having major problems since I tried migrating to a bigger SD card. First I was getting a black screen issue on the new SD card, and now I am getting "Corrupted Data" on both cards, even when I restore one with the SD card image I took before everything went south.

I'm trying to figure out a way to basically create a fresh CFW and everything on the new (bigger) card, something that is basically guaranteed to get my Switch working. Is there any way to do that?

That's the guide I originally used to hack my Switch. I just go through each step again? Anything I should watch out for? Is anything different about the process at all because my Switch was already hacked once using that guide? Do I need to take a NAND backup again?

before you nuke it and start over (i did this myself recently)
what CFW are you using> reapply sigpatches? if atmoshpere/hekate, did you add "kip1patch=nosigchk" to your INI?

I am on hekate/atmosphere. I was getting a black screen after migrating the SD card, then someone suggested using fusee-primary instead of hekate. I did this and it worked, but when I tried to run a game already on the card I got the "corrupted" error. I figured out it was sigpatches and fixed that, but then after copying NSPs to my new SD card I once again got a black screen when booting. My bootloader/hekate_ipl.ini file does contain "kip1patch=nosigchk".

I'm at a loss to explain why every time I migrate to a new card it works, but then when I copy NSPs over I am unable to boot, and nobody seems to have any explanation. I tested the card with h2testw and it told me the card was fine. I've lost pretty much all my free time for a month on this issue and I'm about ready to smash my Switch to pieces over it. My last resort before I throw the thing against a wall is to try to rebuild the whole thing on a new SD card. I don't know why that is necessary and nobody in the world seems to have an answer for me there, but I don't know what else to do here.

Also need to mention I'm on FAT32

I would suggest checking if the card is okay first. Can you try copying the files from to another SD card then check if the behavior is the same? Maybe you should try USB installing, maybe there's something wrong with the SD card reader since apparently those break easily.

I would check the card if you didn't update the firmware.

Sorry, can you give slightly more detailed directions to check my card? I assume I would need to recreate the partitions from the old card in this scenario? Would it be enough to take an image of the working 128 SD, write it to the 256 SD, expand the FAT32 partition, delete the files on the 256 FAT32 partition, and then copy the files from the 128 FAT32 to the 256 FAT32? There really is no guide anywhere to just "copying the files from one SD to another". If I had any easy way to do that I would go that route.

Any detailed advice on how to test this card is appreciated. I did a "Write + Verify" with h2testw. I'm really pulling my hair out. Migrating to a new SD card has now taken many weeks and I haven't played my Switch during this whole time.

Copy the data off the SD card to a HDD and then run a h2testw test on the card, you want to see if the card is bootleg or not.

I'm pretty sure the card is not a bootleg because it's a Samsung card I bought from Amazon (not a third-party seller). I did run h2testw and it completed without error. However, I only ran it on the ~200GB partition and not the partition that Windows does not recognize. I verified 200GB+, so I figure the card is not a bootleg. Do I need to test the rest?

I should also mention that I have used different SD card readers.

I'm really not sure how to proceed here. Any further advice is appreciated.

You suppose to test the whole card with it being empty, first thing to do is to test the full card when you get it, even if it from Amazon it can be fake.

Ok, I wiped out the card and created an exFat partition covering the whole card (Windows would not allow me to create FAT32). I'll be back in 3 hours with the results.

Use third party app like Guiformat or Minitool partition wizard to format the card as FAT32, avoid exFAT anyway.
