Strange problem with trading between a hacked switch and a "legal switch". Here's my situation: I have a legal switch with eShop Pokemon Shield, several accounts with saved games. I also have a hacked switch with Pokemon Sword NSP, using Atmosphere CFW, several accounts with saved games. This hacked switch is banned from Nintendo online services.

I can do the Y-comm local trading and raid sharing between the legal switch and the hacked switch perfectly except for one user account/saved game on the hacked switch [referred to here as "hacked switch account #2"]. For example, Legal account #1 can trade with hacked switch accounts #1 and #3, but not hacked switch account #2. Legal account#2 can trade with hacked switch accounts #1 and #3, but not hacked switch account #2. This one user account/saved game seems to be blocked from Y-comm.

I've tried changing all settings I can think of, restarting, etc. I even made a new user account on the hacked switch and copied the save file to it. Same result on this new account, it seems that this save file is somehow unable to trade. Except that I could trade and share raids on the "hacked switch account #2" for a few weeks after release, up to about 2 or 3 weeks ago.

Things I have not tried yet: using PokeHex to alter the saved game file; using the "switch-lan-play" hack. Any ideas?

Most likely that account got blacklisted by nintendo so that includes your saves in that user account. Also careless trading between cfw switch to your clean switch might get your clean switch banned too.

That's not it. My hacked switch is banned but i can still local trade. I use sx though. Might be an atmos issue. You won't be banned from local for hacking a switch

Well he did say he couldn't use one of his accounts anymore for trading so this is most likely on nintendo side banning him and not really what cfw is he using since he was probably careless.

I don't think that's possible at all. I don't think they can ban you from local because you're not connecting to their servers.

Could be due to some sort of CFW setting, or maybe they're both not connecting to the local wireless. Maybe you've got some sort homebrew running, or some sort of patch or hack that is preventing connection (like the online lan-play homebrew). But it's most certainly not because of the ban, and it's not because it's pirated, because the game would run the same as normal, unless there's some sort of additional patch. There was an update to the game I think sometime last month, are both games on the same update version?

I haven't heard of it before, but it's very possible that the ban message when you connect with a banned Switch causes the local account to be flagged, and Pokemon Sword/Shield just so happens to be one of the only (or the only) games to make use of the flag so far.

You may not have connected online (since SX has Stealth Mode enabled by default) since they added account flagging, assuming that is what this is.

Other people with banned consoles are able to trade locally, so that's not possible.

I have a banned Switch and a clean Switch.
Both use the same Nintendo Profile (which was not banned) on both Switches.
Since my first Switch was banned for being careless, I wasn't able to do any only activity with that switch anymore.
Some time ago I got a Switch Lite.
I logged into my Nintendo Account which was on the banned Switch before.
I changed my Switch Lite to be the primary console for this Account.

I bought Pokemon Shield from the eShop and just played through the story (a second time).
I'm able to share Pokemon (even illegal ones) from Pokemon Sword on my banned Switch to my Pokemon Shield on my legal unhacked Switch.

Like I was saying, this might be a recent change, people who haven't connected online and gotten the ban message since Nintendo added the flag won't have had their local accounts flagged. It's just a theory, but it's the only explanation I can come up with for what OP is experiencing. Unless you have a better idea?
