Ok thanks.
Just curious, what happened if you enabled it without unlaunch or a cfw

can you use Twilight Menu ++ as the default menu without a custom cfw?

Thx
Yes. But...
I tried to use it on more older Twilight Menu releases and it was very unstable. All problems have gone after I reinstalled HiyaCFW and launch Twilight Menu from it. Yes, it takes time on cards larger than 2GB, but works steady.

I didn't know about this.

So does that mean it's possible to run TWiLight Menu without making any persistent changes to a DSi? Does it have any restrictions?

Like, can you still use it to run DSiware and DS games from the SD card? Or run DS games at TWL clock speed?

Yes and No.

You can always do the Exploit (Memory Pit/Camera Exploit) and run Homebrew. You do not have to change something.
Theoretically you can boot TWiLight from that (but only from an 2GB SD Card,I think greater Cards did not work without CFW)
Honestly I do not know it or ever tried it.:)

complete and absolute nonsense.
the dsi is capable of reading up to 32gb cards without problem.
the problem comes from the dsi menu that isn't prepared to read more than 2gb of free SYSTEM space (I don't know the details, but I guess a number greater than 2gb overflows the internal system memory block counter), this isn't a problem for normal usage since the dsi only has 256mb of system memory, so nintendo never had to prepare the dsi menu to handle more than that (at least for system memory).
nevertheless, you can just fill the excess free space with something else (I prefer touhou music) until you have less than 2gb of free space and problem solved. no need to have a <2gb partition (and find it unnecessary when you can actually use that space).

Can you please say that a little more rude ???
sorry if it sounded rude, it wasn't my intention. I edited the post to not sound as rude.
I just don't like when people spread misinformation.

And why do have so much Users Issues with bigger SD Cards on the Exploit ? :)
do they?
I haven't done an extensive search, but most of the threads I've read with problem have been solved with either filling the sd card or partitioning. when it isn't a micro sd adapter problem (which is another topic altogether).

It is meant only for the Exploit. And my Post was also pointed only for the Exploit.:)
I am not sure,if you make the Exploit with an bigger SD Card, you can get into HB Menu or start any Homebrew....:(
(I have never tried it...)

Honestly I do not know it or ever tried it.

Thank you.:)

(But I should....:D..)

let me help you out a little.
just tested with a run of the mill kingston 32gb class 4 micro sd (fat32 32kb clusters) I had lying around and the memory pit exploit works (though I did had some problems since the micro sd adapter I used has seen better days).

I also tested with a 64gb class 10 u1 adata micro sd card I use for my wii u (fat32 32kb clusters) and surprisingly the dsi reads it no problem (just a little bit slower) and the memory pit exploit also works.

That is very kind from you.

I also do my "Homework" at the Moment.
I tried 4GB/8GB/16GB/64GB SD Cards. All ok on the Exploit.:)
(Surprise....:D).

And TWiLight starts also from the Camera Exploit.
