Today Ive asked the developers of R-Play, if they are interested by porting the App to the Nintendo Switch. My second question was, if they could share some of the source code so other developers can have a look at it.
I know it is very gullible of me to think that someone simply shares his hard work. Nevertheless, I've always said to myself: If you do not ask, you'll never know. So lets see what they will respond. Of course I will keep you up to date!
UPDATE:
That went faster than expected.
UPDATE 2:
As you can see on this video, Remote Play has dramatically improved over the time!
There are no stutters at all and the resolution is set to 1080p with 60FPS.
Max LTE speed on my carrier: 21,6 MBit/s.
OFF-TOPIC:
As you all know all homebrews are written by talented users out there, who spent their time and love to create great things we all can enjoy. I was right now thinking, if there would be a way to have a payed AppStore for those homebrews. It would no one hurt to pay a few dollars to use someones great work, right? Something like Cydia on iOS devices would be awesome for the Switch.

We cannot consider doing any apps that rely on jailbreak for legal reasons.

UPDATE 2:
Well I've tried Remote Play on all those devices, with probably 3 different ISP's over the years, all with different routers and it's been terrible every time. No matter what the settings. Yet Xbox streaming works flawlessly. So why would the Xbox streaming work and the remote play not. Remote Play is comparatively shit when compared to Xbox streaming.
