Hacking Question Need advice on how to proceed after the switch has powered off because I forgot to charge it

do i need to prepare anything beforehand like partition or backup or something

the fact that you've attempted to launch emuMMC, i would think you already have a stock NAND backup and have partitioned your microSD card.

yes i have already a stock NAND backup i did last March 2019. My system has already booted to atmosphere during that time (March)

i have followed this guide here below for the NAND Backup in March 2019. not sure if i need to do anything here for emummc

This is a guide which shows you how to setup emuMMC. You can skip the first pages until emuMMC.

Thanks. I have now successfully booted into a emummc. was wodering if taking out the sd card while im in home would cause corruption?

You can eject the sd card in hekate. Therefore, you can set hekate as reboot payload in the atmosphere folder.

I followed your advice and went to hekate but when i removed my sd card there was a prompt "SD card removed! Nyx will reload after inserting it." then gives me option to power off or reboot rcm

Just insert the sd card again when you are done. Don't shut down.
