Done more testing with the editor, primarily regarding saves and character recruitment so as to answer some burning questions.
First, characters - I've had quite varying results, however the most consistent was the game was the house leaders being on the same team as this crashed my game 9/10 times if just adding them to the team via the editor and not messing with values. Retainers have been somewhat iffy, since I've grabbed Dedue on a BE run and had no issue up to a certain point, which is a problem that has repeated a few times with the other retainers but does not occur as consistently - sometimes the game just crashes minutes after loading the save, sometimes hours or not at all.
Secondly, saves in general. I wanted to see if I could replicate the issue I had prior with saves skipping certain parts of the game if you overwrite one slot0x file with another edited slot0x file, and again I had rather varying results, which will be in no particular order;
- Depending on what phase the save is in (Battle Prep, Battle Selection, Monastery, Free Day Choice Screen, etc) there seem to be different outcomes - sometimes nothing happens, sometimes scenes are skipped or the save just melts down. The most recurrent one I had was overwriting a save with another that had been edited while at the Battle Prep screen, and when loading it had skipped the fight entirely. I managed to replicate this at least 4 separate times in 4 separate battles, and even on different saves.
- Character Class Flags. Sometimes, and by this I mean it happened maybe twice in the 200+ save edits I made during testing stuff, a character that has had a class added via ticking a flag in the Class Flags tab has said class locked out permanently. I have literally no idea as to why this occurred, however both times I was in the Monastery. Aside from this, everything was mostly fine aside from odd crashes when adding unique character classes to characters that do not have them via normal means (eg giving Lord to Caspar caused two crashes, but rather far apart - happened on all characters that do not get it naturally and occurs with all * classes on occasion from testing).
- Autosave File. This was something I was apprehensive about touching just in general because well, its the autosave. As expected, the issues would all occur on the autosave the same as the regular slot0x files, however at some point my switch nearly bricked itself when loading from the edited autosave during testing - gonna leave editing it alone for now, but it was probably me being an idiot somewhere along the line.
I'll keep going to have a look at what else I can get this thing to do. Also
@Zaybokk , could I possibly get (via PM) a list of the general cheats you've managed to make aside from the ones currently available in the public cheat file so I can have a go with them? It just gives me more stuff to strain saves with in the end.
