hi i am a newbie so need help, my current Frimware is 8.0.1 and i want to update it to 8.1 , just need the steps so that i dont lose my CFW option, as my per my understanding , should i update the switch to the latest verion by downliading it by connecting it to my wifi, that wil be all and then update my CFW (renix) on the sdcard to the latest and it will work , or is there any other step i have to do kinldy support me.
First, if you're using CFW, running homebrew, and/or playing pirated games, your Switch should be disconnected from the internet, you should be using 90DNS, and/or you should have Incognito installed. Otherwise, you are likely to be banned.
If your NAND is dirty because of hackery, you can go ahead and update it to 8.1.0 using ChoiDujourNX. Make sure you are using the latest version of Atmosphere or ReiNX before you update.

lacius thank you so much for your reply but two things i wanted to ask first is that how can i know that my NAD is dirty becuase of hackery, and seconldy i dont play online so i dint use 90DNS or incognito and are they compulsory for updating, i got the switch gift from a friend and i play priated games on it only. so should i just update it to 8.1.0 using ChoiDujourNX and use the latest verison of ReiNX.
