Did you install the game from an NSP file? Did you install the update NSP (v196608)?
There wasnt an update, so if it exists I need to find it, because thats probably my issue. Thanks.
Edit: @Lacius Update did nothing. Still checks for a network connection and doesn't boot when it can't find one.

Okay, so this is probably very basic, but that's what this thread is for so...
I have somewhat recently updated my FW to 8.1.0, and now that I have the newest version of Hekate, I thought I'd be able to boot up stock FW using that, but I get an error about Hekate failing to launch/find sept. I know the sept folder is there, I got that from Atmosphere. What exactly do I need to do to boot stock?

Games that were working yesterday are no longer working today. I am now met with the message, " Unable to start software. Return to the HOME Menu and try again." Not all of my games, but most of them.

Whoops forgot to respond the first time. The current exploit we have is a coldboot but it is tethered via USB. Firmware 1.0 also has access to warmboot exploit by the name of Nereba.
Is hbl.nsp in your ReiNX folder and hbmenu.nro on the root of your SD card? You also have to hold R to access the homebrew menu now because the homebrew menu can be launched from any application. The reason you have to hold R is because if the homebrew menu opens by default, you would have to hold R to play your games.
Are you using the latest version of Kosmos? Stock is working for me although I downloaded it off of SDSetup instead. Make sure that you updated the sept folder as well.
I am currently on system version 8.01 SX OS 2.8 and I am trying to install a theme via nxtheme installer however, when I have installed a theme and reboot to SX OS, the theme is not present (I have a folder called sxos on the SD root) Is layeredfs broken on 2.8 / 8.01? I can confirm that the theme works when I reboot into atmosphere.
I thought I was but apparently I had forgotten to put them back when I did a fresh install. This was the problem.
I have 6.2 firmware, I need to update to 8.0.1 and use the newest Atmosphere, but my switch refuses to cooperate.
When I boot into using Fusee, the logo comes up then disappears, RCM mode disengages, and it boots into the regular menu.

I have emummc up and running on my 8.1 switch which was never hacked before. I have two questions.
1) I suppose Emummc and sysnand are totally separated and I believe that's the whole point But yesterday I tried to delete one of my Nintendo linked accounts from Emummc and since I was offline in wasn't successful but when I rebooted to OFW that same account had little "!" Icon below it and wanted to re enter the password. Why is that happening?
2) is it ok to install games on 29.2 internal memory of Emummc? I'm running out of storage space on my 128g SD card which had 89g because of Emummc partitioning thing.

are we allowed to ask where can i get the system update files so i can update using choi dujour nx? my switch is not banned, but my internet is slow so I want to download them overnight. if this is not allowed or gray area at all i apologize and will not seek out this method.
What is the best and most efficient way to install nsp on fat32. With goldleaf and goldtree I get corrupt data 90% of the time when the size is more than 10gb

I've just bought the console so I'm about to begin setting everything up. Want to see what I'm expecting to see in the end.
If you're saying it all looks the same in the end, does it mean Caffeine on 4.1.0 and Fusee-Gelee on an unpatched console both look the same in the end?
