Looked into it more this evening and this might be a dumb question but.... how can I install a wad this size? It exceeds the maximum supported file size of a fat32 SD card, and the wii internal memory is nowhere near that large anyway. I'm using my WiiU's vWii if that makes a difference.

I would love to get additional songs for Rock Band 3 on my WiiU. I am not savvy enough to tackle the custom song creation myself. If there is anyone willing/able to take the task on for me please let me know, I am willing to fund the effort.

Fund? Really?!? Either you must be desperate for DLC, or are just not willing to do it yourself! ...But I could use the money! :P

Just teasing ya. Seriously, it's not as hard as it looks. If you follow the tutorial from beginning to end, you'll be able to add customs on your Wii U. If you need help, just ask around. You may rather follow my GitLab wiki, if you find that you're a complete noob at this, as it contains a more concise guide, and then some.

It's really a matter of time. Work full time, kids , etc... MY kids and I love playing rockband 3 (and the other rockbands) but only have the songs on the game disc, and would love to get some more. If the store worked I would just buy and download, but alas... So I guess I'm looking for someone who has the time to do it for me. If that is possible...

There's really no "Instant Package Converter", if that's what you're looking for. However, there's enough info in my wiki that should get you started off on the right track. It does take time, though - I suggest you set aside a period just to make Rock Band Customs. Also, if you want to save time and headaches, don't try to do dozens all at once; try to do a handful - maybe around five at a time. That way, you have a better chance of catching problems if any should arise.

As for someone who can do this for you, if you're not tech savvy enough to do it yourself, then I suggest someone you can meet face to face who has time to spare. Doing it with people on the net is not wise - in fact, you may be dealing with shadier people that way.

After spending hours on end. I have found a way to get the dlc to load in rock band 3 using emunand only. The only thing is it loads dlc by the generation. Do you have a list of what songs are included in each generation dlc (sZAE-sZME)? Also if anyone is interested, I can explain what I did to get this working using discord.

Please be more specific; are you saying that it loads only one generation? It should load them all. Also, I don't have an exact list of which songs are in each DLC generation. Only the first four are on the archived RawkSD site, and that isn't a complete list.

My Discord server invite is in the Rock Band Customs thread here on GBAtemp (link is in my sig). Feel free to talk with myself and others who are having similar problems. As a bonus, we also have a music player! :D

That rawksd site is exactly what I was looking for. The way I loaded the dlc to the emunand, it loads it by generation. I will try to find you on discord to talk to you before I post what I did.

I've got customs working perfectly, but I can't seem to get the official wads working. I found both the full 5gb generation ones, and also split ones that have individual song wads and title files.

I can't seem to get either to work.
Madridi or HarvHouHacker, have either of you managed to get them to load?

I'm interested in learning this if you're still willing to teach. I have individual song wads and title files for each generation, but I keep getting errors in game.

Would you be so kind as to help me find those wads? I had a lot of songs on my wiiU that I could just redownload back in the day, until my SD got corrupted and with the servers shutdown I can't get them otherwise.

I don't recommend DLC WADs usually, because they are large and can be difficult to install. What you should do is get on my Discord server, go to Alternity's spreadsheet, and grab Rudi's DLC Downloaders. There is a guide on my GitLab wiki on how to use them.

If you still insist on using DLC WADs, @Larsenv has them on MarioCube, and he can help you with installing them if you contact him here or on RBC Discord.

Since the Wii is no longer being supported, I feel that I can safely say this here, as much of what could be downloaded on the Wii is no longer available to buy. If you want to download songs for the same titles on other consoles, check to make sure they can't be bought first, and if they are available to buy, then I recommend buying those songs when you can afford it instead of trying to get them for free. If not, then you may ask in RBC Discord about what you can do to get those songs.

@HarvHouHacker, thanks for your continued effort towards continuing to respond to all of these random questions from folks. I just got RB3 on Wii (Yeah, I know, waaaay late to the game) and have been reading off and on for the last two days trying to find a guide that explains what I need to do to play content beyond the 83 songs included with the game. Your guides are the first to explain all of the acronyms, customization, packers/unpackers, etc in detail to where a noob like me can understand. I used to think I was good with stuff like this but my head is swirling with all of the lingo I don't understand.
