Hi,
I'm pretty new to Nintendo Switch Hacking.
I basically want to copy my games (real cartridge) to the console because I had lost a game a while ago.
Is it possible with Atmosphere?

Kinda? It skirts around the rules here, I think, but it doesn't directly violate them. You could use SX Dumper to get an xci file and then Tinfoil to install the xci file to your console.

The only problem is that you cant play online with this game installed. This is because the title tickets that you dont have as a Installed game. If you want to play using a backup with all the credentials, then you need a XCI loader. Only SX OS have this.

Multiple ways to do it.
If you want it as a NSP, use gamecartdumper.
If you want a XCI, use SX Dumper and dump it. Then install it with DZ Tinfoil.

Either way it will work.
He haven't violated any rules so it's fine. It's a legit question and me myself have dumped some of my original games before I went on my trip to Ireland.

EDIT: You need SIGNATURE PATCHES for backups to work on Atmosphere. I recommend you use the Kosmos package, but then DZ Tinfoil won't work.

I was planning to dump it with gccarddumper (or s.th. like that) and use TinFoil to install it.
Does it work?

If you get banned, you won't be able to play online. And nintendo will ban you for using any unauthorized software.
Whats funny is that if you go on ReSwitched's discord they'll tell you "No one gets banned for just using custom firm ware" when that's been proven historically false but they preach it and their users eat it up. I think that's why the person you quoted is confused.

Historically sure, before the safety features were added. People have been using it safely online since then tho.

It would be nice if I could dump my physical games, install them or play them in some manner in Atmosphere, and not get banned. I'm even holding off on modding FFVII because that could be a potential ban.
Though this is true, it's good to point out that it is VERY unlikely if you are just messing about with homebrew and you stay offline while in atmosphere. Installing NSP's (homebrew or dump) will result in a ban eventually though.
I've been using Atmosphere for a while now, and only dabble in homebrew with regards to that, but I do play online with all of my legit games while Atmosphere is still active (as I like to "switch" between homebrew and my games), and have yet to be banned. I say "yet" because there's always a chance.
