Do you have a Reicast folder on the root of your sd card with a folder inside called data? The bios go in data (you have to get the bios on your own, google), and also your games can just go directly in Reicast folder or you can make a games folder. Doesn't sound like you even created this folder.

Yes, it is. The Reicast folder is at the root of the SD and the games folder is in the Reicast folder.

I’ve tried deleting, downloading and reinstalling from different sources online, tried putting the games on the root, in a games folder on the root and a games folder in the switch folder. Still unable to locate while in Reicast.

Yes, I have the data folder with the bios files in it.

The only thing I can think of is try naming the folder lower case reicast instead of Reicast if you haven't already. Mine is lower case. Otherwise I don't know.

I’m pretty sure it is lowercase but I’ll try it after work. I think it’s odd that the emulator itself works but won’t load games. I’m trying not to get frustrated lol hopefully it’s something small but I’ve gone over it dozens of times and tried troubleshooting everything I could think of.

If all else fails I would start from scratch copy your games and bios to your computer, delete reicast folder make a new one, and copy everything back.

I don't even mess with launching Reicast I make individual game forwarders that i can launch like a switch game from the main menu you could consider that but you have to make one for each game. I love it I do it for all my games.

How about bios or maybe your games are busted?

Games work on Redream, Mac version. I’ve tried deleting everything and downloading all over from another website, still the same issue. I’ll play around with it again tonight like I said and update everyone.

Definitely want to do this once I get the games initially loaded. How do you make individual game forwarders?

I figured it out. For some odd reason the switch was not recognizing the folders when I created them on my Mac but when I created them on the switch itself and transfered everything after the folders were made, reicast recognized the folder and loaded the games!!! Now to find out which games work lol everything I’ve tried other than crazy taxi has been real glitchy. Is there a list out there?

Nope there's no list. I would just put every single game you want on your sd card (if you have the space of course) and try them, and even if they don't work just leave them for whenever there's an updated version of Reicast that comes out that's what I did.

Almost every game boots but that's the main issue is graphical errors and also some games can't play fmvs.

It doesn’t really make too much sense to compile a compatibility list at the moment, it’ll be redundant as soon as the next version is released.

Agree with this, but if they have all the free time in their hands and are willing to do it, why not?
I just found a game i want to try because of this list.
Populist argument - everyone likes free stuff.

Try that three times in a row for any emulator and see where it leads you.
In this case - we arent even talking about emulation based compatibility issues, its porting related issues.

So of course we can do the non informed stuff of "all this is magic" and lets make lists about how well magic works, but what are you really measuring? Tom didn't code correctly - the list? Will be fixed in patches? I mean - its hardly a compatibility list - if 90% of issues are port related. The regresses and compromises here are not dictated by system or resource capability - but by a few coders capability to deliver a first release.

The list only ever has "if you want to play games in the meantime (not defined, no eta), try those and not those" character. And its really an attention economy thing how often you want to source people to crowdsource - in this case - alpha testing (so others dont have to).

Thank you for the work though. If it has been voluntary, it has been voluntary.

I've noticed that games that target at 60 fps (and the console can handle it) they run just finished, but games that target 30 fps stutter A LOT, even when the console can push more fps, do we know if this is being worked on? I've noticed the same in the Pc version.

Retroarch has frame duping that fixes this for PSX and N64, the PSP core and Reicast doesn't have that yet. It's just inconsistent frame timing. Seems to be not as prioritized as just straight speed.

I've seen a ton of PC games do that even with v-sync on unless you hard cap the frame rate with a different program. It's way console games feel fine at 30fps, but PC feels awful at 30.

I get some of the weirdest graphical glitches with this version. Not complaining, it's actually funny seeing them. In Zombie Revenge there's creepy random face textures across buildings and the characters sunglasses will randomly disolay a wrong texture like his hair. Hair sunglasses!

And the girl characters skirt can dissapear leaving her in just her panties OwO
