Hacking Can I use saves on another version of the same game on 5.05 ps4

Hello tempers. Sorry if this is a stupid question but I can't really find the answer to it.

I want to play Horizon Zero Dawn The Frozen Wilds dlc without losing my saves. I have Horizon zero dawn (without dlc) installed and completed, but as I heard, one can't just install updates or dlc to another installation - it must come from the same source. How can I make saves work if I'll reinstall horizon, but with dlc? If it isn't possible is there a way to update my current installation? Original game was already installed when I bought this console, so I don't know its source.

It’s all to do with the CUSAXXXXX ID (and keystone for saves)

I’m sure you can mod DLC by CUSA ID to match your own.

Specifically for this case it seems to work. Watch the ModdedWarfare tutorial on SaveMounter, he is doing exactly what you want to do with Horizon Zero Dawn:

I doubt that it works for every game without issues though...

you might try it without modding first. I know that the American version of tales of hearts r on the vita uses the American game title id but the European save title id. however, it still creates an American save folder. I'm not sure what it's used for, but if you restore your saves to another profile, you have to use the European save folder. the vita, like the ps4, uses pfs, which I think is bypassed (not defeated) on both systems.
