Tried it yesterday. I have a 64gb and a 32gb both was working fine

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

But it still can detect sd card. Before that it couldn't even detect

so with the 64GB and 32GB SD cards WHICH YOU FORMATTED IN THE SWITCH and are working fine.. downloada fresh copy of the SX OS 2.7.1 and unpack it on both SD cards. Then try to use your RCM and usb dongle to boot into SX OS with them.

Backup your SD as it is now
Search guiformat on Windows
Launch it, format the SD card
Delete your boot.dat from your SD card backup
Redownload a new one and put it in your backup
Restore your SD card files

When the switch world be ipatched the screen would stay black.
It’s also not the the sd card reader on your switch

Try this steps:
1.Check your sd card using h2wtest to make sure your sd cards are legit and not a fake 4gb SD card.
2. Redownload the newest sx os and Try to copy the boot.dat from another PC and another SD card reader, the SD card reader on your pc might corrupt data while file transfer.

I am sure it is legit sd card as I have been using both of the cards booting into sx os

When you boot sx os do you get the sd shape icon saying boot.dat?

If thats the screen your getting then we know your console is fine, sx is fine.

The issue remains why your console isnt finding the sd card.

Have you booted your console without the sd card and then inserted it, what do you get.

In the last reply you said you get the message to reboot which is what you get if the sd card was already inside the console when turning it on.

Try this:
Open CMD with Administrator right.
Then type in: Diskpart
Once Diskpart opend up type in: List disk
Type in: List disk
Select your SD card by typing in: select disk 2
(Replace 2 with the disk number which is your second card)
After you selected your sd card type in: clean
Your SD card is now completely empty and all partitions are removed from your as card.
Use a tool to create a partition and reformat your sd card in fat32 32k
This helps me very often when I have issues with a SD card.

Optional: you can also write the zzblank.img using win32diskimager after you’ve done the Diskpart steps.
The zzblank.img is used for psvita SD cards to avoid issues with SD card file system but this also works for other consoles.
The zzblank image just erases the first 1mb on the sd card so that the mbr is completely clean.

Also I checked I can't inject payload even with atmosphere. Please help

This seems to suggest it's not the SD card, maybe they patched your unit in addition to replacing the card reader? You say it's the same serial but maybe they actually worked on it rather than sending a different unit and as part of the work patched it? Just throwing out ideas.

Do you know anyone else with a switch that is known to work with SX (or injecting payloads)? Maybe ask them to try all the same stuff you're not able to get working, just to see if it really is your card and not your system.

I have the same boot issue , after creating Emunand in hidden partition with 2 micro SD cards of 64 GB .
When the Emunand was created in a non hidden partition worked great , it was weird , then I try hidden partition Emunand with a 128 GB scandish memory card and it worked great , no more boot missing screen .

Format your SD Card to FAT32 and put your licence.dat & boot.dat on the Root. Make sure your Dongle is charged. If SX OS boots up, update your Console via ChoiduJourNX and choose EXFAT.

well have checked with the techs but they ensured they did only work on the ic chip though. but neverthess i will still try out. but as mention above by Retroboy, if a its a patched switch the screen would not be showing me "boot.dat?" error:wink::wink:

Is the serial at the bottom the same as before? A lot of hardware companies call it 'repairing' when they actually just ship you a new or refurbished unit. Walmart does it with TV's. If that happened in your case then, well, that sucks. Might have gave you a patched unit.
if he sees the screen asking for a boot.dat, then the payload's already running.

If he would just read the last post I made then his issue might be already history.
This switch is definitely exploitable, it has something to do with the sd card/file system.
If I have issues like Album (sx os Rommenu) is crashing then I use the last Methode I posted and it works every single time. Some devices are sensitive with not slow Formated SD cards like the psvita and the Nintendo switch. A quick format sets just a 0 at the beginning of the mbr and are not a problem for pcs but some other devices detect the data and doesn’t like it. The zzBlank image removes the entire MBR which prevent the console to detect any junk.
