Hi,
I have updated my perfectly working emunand to 8.0 using ChoidujourNX, directly from SX OS.
I've updated the boot.dat on my SD card to the latest 2.7 beta version, but when I boot SX OS I get the Nintendo logo and then just a black screen (no Nintendo Switch logo).
It's not the first time I use ChoidujourNX to update my emunand to use it with an up to date version of SX OS, but this time I encountered this problem.
Feel free to ask me anything that could be useful to understand more about this.
Cheers^_^

Did you post this in the TX forums? Particularly, this one:

Can't link directly, unfortunately.

What format is your sd card and do you know if you choose fat or exfat when you updated as you need to choose the one that matches the file system of the sd card? I'm sure you already knew this though. I'm going to update mine just to see if I run into this issue but I'll be sure to make a backup of the emunand first.

Edit:
No problems to report here. Everything updated and working as it should have.

I've an exfat sdcard.
Sadly I'm pretty sure I unchecked the exfat option, but I remember I unchecked it also the past times I updated with Choi.
I had obtained the exfat support from ofw with an official update, then created the emunand. I thought that feature was kept automatically after every update with Choi, that's why I unchcked it.
Probably I'm wrong and I made something irrecoverable... stupid me.

Not the end of the world. Just copy your files from your sd card to your pc, Format SD card as fat32 and copy all your files back. You can then update to exfat if you want or just leave it be.

Edit: If you have files larger then 4gb you will have to update to exfat if you do not want to split them.

Yeah that's the best (and only) thing I can do.
Copying just the emunand files on the fat32 sd card should be ebough, right?

You will only need the basic files so yeah the what's in the root, sxos folder and the switch folder for your homebrew and of course the 8.0.1 firmware files so you can reinstall the exfat version if you want. Once it's installed you can then format your sd card again to exfat and copy everything if you have files larger then 4gb. If you don't have or use files larger then 4gb you really don't need exfat on the sd card and the exfat version does work with fat32 cards just not the other way.

Good to know! I'm backing up my 114 GB sd card now! Unfortunately it will take a lot of time.
I'll let you know if this is going to work! I really appreciated your help, thanks^_^

Did you deleted custom theme in emunand if you are using one?
No, I didn't use a custom theme

Good luck. I did that earlier myself when I decided to setup dual boot linux. Took a couple hours but worth it.

Yes, many people reported that custom themes create that kind of problem. Maybe one of them can tell you how to remove that.
