Homebrew Ps1 emulation any good on n3dsxl?

I haven't touched my n3ds in a while and was wondering how emulation as I kind of want to revisit the old persona games for closure.
Also I recall ds games needed a cart, but they can load off sd now?

It's somewhat playable, but sadly haven't see much optimizing in a long time.

The DS games can run off of the SD card, with an application called TWMenu++.

Any 3ds can (or dsi i think) can load og ds games off sd via TwilightMenu++ or whatever it is called. For ps1 emulation use retroarch, it works not bad on new 3ds

I'm confused at the thread title, it mentions PS1 emulation and then shifts to loading 3DS ROMs off an SD card. Which is it?
