I try and lock my joycons with the button and they never lock just slide out as normal
Is there something wrong with my joycons?
Is there something wrong with my joycons?
The button isn't a lock, it's just an unlock. If you click the JoyCons into place until you hear an audible click from the rails themselves and they still come loose without holding the button, check the rail on the top side near the L/R button, there's a small plastic tab that moves when you press the button in order to unlock the JoyCon, this can get damaged very easily from drops or even from just slightly rough handling (using too much force when holding the console for example) which you should be able to tell by looking carefully at the plastic tab.I try and lock my joycons with the button and they never lock just slide out as normal

So the button behind the joycons isnt a lock button? The button isn't a lock, it's just an unlock. No, you hold it to unlock the JoyCons, they lock automatically when fully inserted (when you hear the click)So the button behind the joycons isnt a lock button?
Thats the problem here my joycons dont do thatNo, you hold it to unlock the JoyCons, they lock automatically when fully inserted (when you hear the click)
They don't click? Are you sure you inserted them all the way? It takes a bit more force to get them to fully click in once they are inserted.Thats the problem here my joycons dont do that
They click fine but they never lockThey don't click? Are you sure you inserted them all the way? It takes a bit more force to get them to fully click in once they are inserted.
Have a look at the small plastic tab like I said. It's a different color than the rest of the shell so it should be easy to spot. They click fine but they never lock

I tried putting a bit of force into it and no luck
Yeah i see it and it looks wornInside the joycon. They make metal replacement locks. The 2nd Pic is where you can see if it is worn out.
