I was using Hekate and other free CFW but decided just now to buy SX OS so I can have usb hard drive support. I get the SX OS screen and boot into CFW but the games that are still on my sd card no longer boot. They say unable to start software. Return to home menu and try again. Why?

I'm on 6.1 OFW.

did you create an emunand? if so you need to rename the Nintendo folder to Emutendo.

No I actually didn't, just wanted to check on my games on regular nand and they no longer work. Is emunand required?

I'm stupid I think I figured it out. I didn't copy the license.dat back to my sd card. Should have read better.

Edit: yep that was it.

you should defenitely use emunand though. be aware if you do it on a hidden partition on the sd card (recommended) it will format it. so backup your sd card first.

Ok, how do I setup usb drive support? In the SX OS menu it only mentions XCI files or NSPs on the sd card but not usb?

Alright instead of making another thread I'll just ask here. Usb works fine but the game was under 4 gb, but how do I handle xcis or nsps above 4 gb for the usb drive? Should I format it the external hard drive exfat? Or can I leave it Fat32 and just split them on my computer? Will it be able to play split games?

I read the guide but it only mentions dumping carts but these are downloaded from the internet.

I would not mess with emunand if you don't play online.

I install nsp files larger than 4gb with tinfoil over my lan connection but I don't know if that's doable to a hdd. I've only messed with an sd card so far. I'm pretty sure there are apps out there for splitting the files though. Just do some searching.

there's no reason to format the hdd to fat32. just format it to exfat.

you might have to play around with the cluster size. I had to use 512 on my 2tb hdd. I tried 32768 and it didn't work.

For now I'm just using a 64 gb flash drive (it worked with default cluster size) while I'm awaiting a 500 gb external hdd. Not gigantic, but will give me all the games I need for present and a good while into the future. I also have a 128 gb sd card.

There are two usb ports would it support two or just one at a time? I don't have another to test it.
