@jacob33301: Don't worry, Weiff already has permissions over the file he was assigned, so there must have been some confusion. Anyway, he has my IM contact and he know where to reach me. BTW, thanks for being our most dedicated translator and posting in the forum as well; I wish more translators posted too.

@Shiro786: There's no need to be rude, you should watch your language.

@KOFSoldier: I know, great game. Not that I think it's the most perfect game of all times or even the best Sonic (that would be Sonic 3), but it's a good plataformer and that's all I expected from it. A shame the same can't be said about Sonic Rush Adventure.

@EVERYONE: It's great that everyone wants to volunteer now but you have to understand that managing this help is a complicated task on its own. I'm not making a list yet and you would be contacted when the debugging stage begins; just stick around so you are active in the thread when it starts. Despite how ironic this might sound, this is not a game but a very dedicated process and we're looking for people willing to follow directions and take it seriously. It would also help if you could post about your experience in similar projects so groups get better balanced out.

Hey, I started this thread, its the least I could do.

The gratitude and appreciation towards the hardworking people kingofnoobs, beautifulbeast, jacob, geunt, weiff and others is good hearted, but when you say you cant help that's not true ^^.

If you stay active within this thread, when the time comes, this team will surely need the community's help in the debugging process which should require no experience in japanese and/or technicalities i would assume, so just stay active and the time when you CAN help will be here soon.

Also to those that keep asking when it will be ready, please be patient and do not ask that anymore, when the team is ready they will announce a date. ^^'

Yeah he's right. Usually Debugging is the last thing to do on a project (it's basically a runthrough to see if there are any glitches, bugs, etc...), the only problem is that it can sometimes take a while. That's why it's important for everyone to stay active so we can all help to speed things along

Does it count if you've been lurking since the beginning of the thread? (I mean, like the first week) even though I haven't been posting alot.
I don't have a lot to contribute, just a lot of free time.

Also: in chr_s_t.bin it says:
Goku prepares a kamehameha, Insert translation here.

Wazzup with that?

Someone else went to translate it, then didn't, hit enter and the translation comes up as Insert Translation here as that was what automatically comes up. Sorry if doesn't make sense i was in a hurry while typing this gotta get to a piano lesson.

Wouldn't it just be easier to forget about the manga descriptions at this point? it's just bogging the project down.

I think they're done with that now, I think all that's left is Debugging. Which everyone can help with. Also, Calvin and Hobbes is the best comic stip ever! NICE sig!

piece.bin (manga synopsis) is finish

the other description is about special moves and mangas moment

i ve played JUS yesterday and i got some ideas :

is there a way to dump graphics from the game ? like menu pages ? and of course a way to reinject this kind of files ? (is for you fast6191)
I see text in menu but there are no dump actually so i think maybe it's graphics and not a text based files

i know very well the menu and there is already at gamefaqs walktrough and translated menu so translation should be very easy, we just need a technical solution to dump graphics and edit them

i think i ve already read this reply on this topic, i just thinking about this for killing time, because i have time, motivation and photoshop skill, it s just a way to continue activity on this project while waiting the start of the beta test, but if dumping graphics need too much ressources, like create dedicated tools, i understand to not inclued this in the project now

i ve seen previously a topic of someone who has began to dump sprites from the game
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=60809&st=15
in this, evrything is ok for extracting but nothing about reinserting files.....

I would urge the other file admins to check for this issue as well.

Ok, folks. You out there that keep saying you would like to help.... this is what you can help with right now, it isn't much but we need some insight.

At the request of beautifulbeast I am posting an issue that I have run across. In the file the Geunt and I are heading there are in game messages. Now these messages are in a sort of index by location in the file, this creates an addressing scheme for the messages.

For those out there that believe I am speaking Greek(or some wholly new language...) an example.

This is what appears in the file:

Koma evolution of
???
has been opened!
has already been opened!

These 4 lines create a single message, not all at the same time or even the same message. I know... still confused. Depending on the data contained in the .sav file and user selection you get the following messages:

Koma evolution of ???has been opened!

Koma evolution of ???has already been opened!

(The ??? is a selected character name)

So as you can see, one message is split into several lines. This is done by the programmers to save space by not the same text over again in messages that contain many of the same words... cuts down on the overall game size.

So those of you still asking, "How can I help?" If we, as cleaners, want to make logical English out of these lines we have to maintain this fragmented structure, or we risk breaking the game when applying the patch. Out to the @Community, Below are several sentences that we need your input on for rewording:

the Wi-Fi connection
has cut off
cut been off.

The music
can be listened to from the database!
is already available in the database!

Video intro of
J-Quiz's
questions increased!
questions already added!

Now, these are the line. If you think we have them formatted well, that is fine too.
