As a rule of thumb: do not update. But specially in ps4: never update before the yearly c3 conference.
unless you have finished all the games you have played, I don't see the reason to stay. I bought my ps4 in 2016 only to play persona 5, bought a couple of games afterward and even forced myself to 5.05 just to get Dishonored 2 NG+ updates. I remember during that time, I didn't see any reasons to update, patiently waiting to finish all the old games, and suddenly 5.05 hack was released. in the end, we want to use our ps4 to play the games we want to play.
I am still torn whether I should update my ps4 or buy a brand new one to play the latest games. a new or a used ps4 is still much cheaper than the latest gaming laptop.

So it is safe to update? It has been confirmed that the secret method and webkit exploit still works at the latest fw.

There are numerous WebKit entry points (note: not exploits) that work on 6.20.
