Third party docks are still bricking switches. You could potentially look for a used one if you don't wanna spend 80 for one new, but there's more demand than there is supply so people can have one in each room of the house/put the innards into a smaller dock enclosure. Personally I'd look on facebook marketplace and craigslist for a used complete switch console including it. I saw some for around 200 usd give or take, and now that the Let's Go Pikachu and Diablo editions are out, there's probably more people selling their old consoles. Coupled with waiting after the Christmas holiday for a couple weeks, I'd expect to see some more floating around as the "my kid didn't really like the switch and only plays their xbox/playstation" seller posts go up.
