I can't, I wasn't affected nor do I live in the US. You're an idiot if a) you would put it that way, and b) you think that's what would happen. Creating and spreading a virus with malicious intent is HIGHLY illegal, added to the property damage caused by this and the draconian prison system in the US they would be facing some rather harsh sentences.

But sure, violating copyright for personal use with something that turned out not even to be a game is so much worse. Police don't give a shit about minor transgressions when it comes to things like this.

Lol you're forgetting, I was lucky enough to have money and bought a new console and already got everything transferred over. I'm not mad that this happened to my console, what I am is disgusted that there are people defending this type of shit in the community.

From what he said earlier in the forum:
There is no way to undo it because it scrambles or replaces the files needed to boot the system with random gibberish. These files are unique to each system so they cannot simply be downloaded and replaced.

Tell me this: If you made a nand backup(which I assume you have) and then I send you some code disguised as a game and tell you its the game and post screenshots of the game and then you run the code and brick your switch are forced to recover but you lost all of your save data in the process, whos to blame? You are still harmed, are you not? Have fun restarting every single game you were investing hours into. Even if you did "follow instructions" you still would have been affected negatively no matter how you look at it, nand backup or not.

It's an easy fix, takes just a minute. All you have to do is restore your Prodinfo partition from the nand backup. You can either use Hekate or hacdiscmount to do so.

This is a pretty common misconception dude. You only need to restore the ProdInfo partition, it's easy to extract this one partition from a rawnand backup using hacdiscmount and then either restore it to the switch using the same tool, or using Hekate. You don't need to restore/change any other data.

You can't fix it if you didn't have a nand backup before they "scrambled your eggs"
