Hacking 4nxci nsp size

I have an xci 1.86 GBrom size. When trimmed it goes down to 713.35 MB

When I run the untrimmed xci through 4nxci the resulting nsp is 343.44 MB

does this look normal?

I would of thought the nsp would be of similar size to the trimmed xci??

Also I have read that 4nxci is incompatible with some xci is their a list of these. Do they fail to convert. Or do they not install run or do they freeze during use

Looking more into it. I'm guessing it's stripped out any firmware updates and cart only info

That's around a 350MB difference which sounds about right for the update partition (system update, excluded from NSPs). You should be good.

I have a similar problem

I am using 4nXCI ver.4.0.3 and Xci-Explorer V.1.4.7 and using my own keys.dat. Here is what's happening:

When i convert Mario Kart 8 from XCI (7.44GB and showing correct info on Xci-Explorer) to nsp i get a .nsp of 4.41GB and they info doesn't show on Xci-Explorer. It's missing Masterkey Revision, Game revision, SDK versión game info and image.

When i do the same with Crash, the Xci file is 5.61GB and show all the info, but when it's converted i get a .nsp of 497,15 MB (¿?¿?¿?) And doesn't show complete info on Xci-Explorer.

I have converted many Xci from the same source, and the file size doesn't change a lot, and when i use Xci-Explorer all the info Match the original file.

Any help?
