Speaking of which here is the FUSE sinclair zx spectrum emulator, recompiled in the stable retroarch branch

If controls do not work (which they wont at first): Load ROM>RetroArch Quick Menu>Controls>User 1 Device Type>Set to whatever joystick the game is asking you for. An on screen keyboard, atleast for the kempston joystick, is bound to select (-)

Many very thanks, it exists any new version? when you change to another rom, switch hangs.

In the latest nightly i get failed to load when trying to load the bin file for CTR after loading the pcsx core, in the current stable release i can load the game but it crashes (black screen) after around 3 seconds (right when the white text fades away). I read somewhere that CTR was working with around 50-60fps, can some1 point me in the direction of that build? :)

Is it possible to add a "Block Invalid VRAM Access" toggle in Snes9x core options? Really need this option disabled to play some hacked games...

You can fix CTR by downloading a PS1 bios file and placing it in retroarch\cores\system.

Does bios really affect emulation speed?
It can affect speed and compatibility. Newer BIOS files have optimizations in them to better utilize the hardware of the PlayStation console that older ones won't have. Likewise, emulators are built to mimic the hardware of of the console and rely on the BIOS to help achieve that.

For example, reARMed likes SCPH5501 because it relies on these optimizations to perform as close to the console as possible. Using an older BIOS will mean that the emulator cannot use these optimizations and perform slowly or not at all.

So yeah, having the correct BIOS is important for speed and compatibility.

I heard that multidisc PS1 eboot should work great with the PCSX ReArmed core.
So I just copied some PS1 EBOOT folders's from my old PSP to the switch, but they fail to load.
Am I doing something wrong? Is something required to get this working. I tried zipping the content of the EBOOT folder and loading the archive, this also fails.
Normal .img files works really well.

How do I get multi-disc EBOOT's running? I'd appreciate if we can keep a friendly attitude from here on.

As in Disc 1/Disc 2 into 1 eboot/pbp, that does work. You may have to find another one as it doesn't take anything special to run.

Oddly {probably}, I had some bin/cue games that played on my phone, but not on my Switch. Got into editing cues over that last month or so and that may have been it, but I'd already deleted the games, lol.

Thank you for the reply, So the game I tried is the official version of Final Fantasy VIII downloaded to my PSP.

I just took the entire folder and copied it to the Switch. Inside the folder there is DOCUMENT.DAT, EBOOT.PBP and KEYS.BIN. I have the bios file SCPH5501.BIN (it works with games that have the .img extension)

I launch up retroarch and I start by loading the PCSX-ReArmed core, then I load content and I navigate into the game folder with the EBOOT.PBP and try to launch it.
Then it just exit back to the retroarch menu with the message "failed to load".

Ohhh, an official one. You may be better off converting it into a bin and creating a 2352 .cue for it. Type 'pbp into iso reddit' into Google and the first thing that pops up might help you.
