I have 3 users on my Switch, back from when I was legit :)
Now I got banned, and I'd like to delete the irrelevant 2 - which I can't do, since I need to unlink them first, and the Switch won't let me.

Are there ways to manually delete users from the device, after being banned?

if your account is linked, you have contact nintendo to get it unlink. I didn't want update the console, so I contacted Nintendo and gave them some BS story that I gave my console to my family member and forgot to unlink the account. Then I used Checkpoint or some form of save backup and backup all the saves. Finally just initialize the console which will wipe everything and use the backup saver to restore your saves to an offline account.

Hoped there would be an easier way. Probably in the future!

Unlinking is done server side of Nintendo. If you're banned and can't connect to Nintendo server, your only option is to contact Nintendo. Even if there was an option deleting the user through DevMenu, Nintendo server still sees the account link to your console ID.

I think most people want to stay unlink with their main account just in case Nintendo goes the extra mile and bans the account Some people have multiple purchases and don't want to lose it. Also some people prefer to their main account on a legit console since you can only link your account to one console at a time.

That's not overkill. That's how we do it on Vita
Yeah, I won't be able to set up an account later, or it would take more time to set the console up again.
Was hoping that someone would release a user management homebrew, or locate the correct files in the storage, I guess.
