Alright, I downloaded SMSAdvance & tried to run roms..then tried to run the actual emulator (.gba) on my EZ-Flash Omega. Didn't work. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

You need to run the .exe on a pc, select roms you want and it will create a .gba file with those games, use that gba file on the omega.

Every time that I make a file, it ends up being 47 MB. The flashcart keeps saying "File Overload." It can't run files that big, I suppose. Not seeing any options to make the files smaller/different format, ect..

How many ROMs are you putting in?
GBA games can be considered to be limited to 32 megabytes.
If you need more GG ROMs than that then most people split the collection up to get the individual size down and have multiple instances of a given emulator.

Personally I split them up per ROM. This is because there's only 64KB of SRAM for the SMS/GG emulator to use. Saves for games can be up to 8KB but save states can be over 32KB (forget the exact number). Compression normally reduces that substantially, but still that doesn't leave a lot of room.

One of the things I like best about SMSAdvance is it's one of the few (only?) emulators that allows viewing beyond the draw area (a lot of GG games are SMS ports but effectively cropped to a smaller size, so sort of like some wide screen patching in some Gamecube games you get a bit of a glitchy overdraw out of bounds). Of course even better is the Game Gear to SMS hacks database. There's a lot of pretty cool Game Gear-only games which I'd love to see Sega rerelease hacked like that (along with a bunch of SMS games).

Shame so few companies with massive archives of games are trying to cash out on their archives. *sigh* Then agin, some do--*cough*Capcom*cough*--, but not really at the most reasonable rates.

Yeah, at first I tried to save the entire library on a file. Then I attempted to do one file at a time. Still coming out to 47 MB regardless.

Update: Nevermind, I figured it out.
