I have been trying to read and extract the files for a PGD but with no such luck. I don't have a PSP and have been doing this solely on a PC, so I may be doing something wrong but I would like some help in trying to read and extract the files I want from a PGD.

I have managed to at least decrypted them and dump them using jpcsp. Course they now come in a "PGDfile.raw" (File type NCH.Switch.raw (.raw)) and a "PGDfile.raw.decrypted" (DECRYPTED File (.decrypted)).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the link, however, I seem to have some issues with "pgdecrypt.exe" as it just crashes.
After renaming any of the files to "DATA.BIN" and "DATA.cpk" the program will start up then crash. Using the "pgdecrypt.bat" file will result in the same issue.
I then tried moving the files to see if it changes anything but no such luck.
Is there a specific place I need to place the decrypter? Or did I miss something in the steps in order to get this to function properly?

Sorry mate it’s been a couple of years since I modified It / used It. I used It on windows 7 if that helps.

What pgd file are you using It on?

I am windows 7 home premium.

On the pgd file I used, I am using the DATA.BIN I extracted directly from the .iso. Which leads to a crash.
I then used files that were extracted, decrypt, and dump by jpcsp. In an old version of jpcsp it has an option to do all the extracting, decrypting, and dumping into a tmp folder and the files come up as
[(PGDfile.raw_ File type: (NCH.Switch.raw)] and [(PGDfile.raw.decrypted) File type: (DECRYPTED File)].

So I went ahead and tried it without changing any of the file names and the program just crashes.
I then went ahead and change the files names to "DATA.BIN" and "DATA.CPK", the same issue occurs.

So I must be extracting my files incorrectly then.

So I used UMDGen to extract my files however when I browse the .iso with it, the only file on it was DATA.BIN and in a much larger size.
UMD.png

No DATA.CPK was found when browsing with UMDGen. When dumping the files with jpcsp those two files do not appear.
when I go ahead and rename any of the files to DATA.BIN or DATA.CPK it will unfortunately crash
PGDecrypt.png
So I am clearly doing something wrong.

DATA.BIN needs to be the pgd file.

rename DATA.BIN.decrypt to DATA.CPK when you want to encrypt the file again.

Then rename DATA.CPK.encrypt to the name of your original pgd file.

I found the issue.
So the files that jpcsp dumped were decrypted and that is what was causing the crashing.
When I extracted it without decrypting it through jpcsp your program worked
So Thank you very much!

Now it all comes back to my other question, How do I can browse inside these new files and extract what I want from inside?

depends on the format of the file that is encrypted as pgd. Open the decrpyted file in a hex editor and see if It states cpk? Or something else the google cpk decrypter / unpacker

Sorry for the late reply, So after using a hex editor to look into the files the decrypted file is the only one that is named weirdly.
DATA.BIN.decrypt first line is (,^!/...... '!.o7)
However for DATA.BIN, DATA.cpk, and DATA.cpk.encrypt. the first line for all of them is (.PGD............)
I also went ahead and used a cpk unpacker but not a decrypter and it failed to extract anything. So I tested it with another file I have and it worked in extracting those files.

I'm going to try reaching out to other places in helping me with these files as I don't want to keep bugging you. Thank you very much for all your help so far though!
