Not specific ally on about the size, on about the write/read speeds for reasons I'm sure you're aware of

100MB/S speed, 99.9% chance it'll be perfectly fine. Space will suffice as well, personally I'll be getting one of these for my switch.

I have a 64GB version of this, and I'm going to try to use it first. I won't buy another one unless I have issues and/or not enough space.

the extreme line of sd cards is fractually quicker than this, but really, it won't make that much of a difference.
also, you might want to aim for the 200 gb one, they're only marginally more expensive per gb but the extra space will probably be very welcome.

Yeah it's fine. I personally went with Samsung's EVO Select 128gb because it is C10 U3. It won't reach max speeds the sd is capable of, but it has higher minimum speeds than U1 cards. I also feel 128gb is enough for a good amount for backups or whatever.

I have one in my "new" 3ds, it's perfect. There was a more expensive, faster 128gb sandisk in the store, but the salesman said it was mainly useful for recording 4k video.

I have 64 GB microSD that I used in my 3DS before replaced with 128 GB, so I will plan to use 64 GB on my Switch, however I'm strictly physical cart guy, rather than buy games via digital, so size may not issue and most DLC are in smaller size.

Actually they are the best A1 latest newest classification it means it's made specifically to be used as internal storage and last longer.

They are far better than the lot cheaper class10 M-SD.

After using a class 10 as internal storage on my Nvidia Shield tablet it even seem like I made a full hardware downgrade as it run pretty slow even on the android menu because they were too slow and 1 died on me in like a month...

Only after buying a SanDisk A1 I could finally get the tablet performance back while using it as internal storage.

But most is really because of android encryption, else a class 10 shouldn't be that much slow, but they aren't also made to last like A1 which is good for cache and whatever...

What is the actual write speed from the ultra series latest version? I remember when they were on par with the Samsung EVO + series (100r/20w). Samsung updated to 100r/100w with their new 2017 EVO Plus (not +) series (from 128gb).
Inside the switch it won’t matter (maybe while dumping the nand) but while filling the space you would regret filling 128gb with 20MB write speed.

I think the 128gb EVO plus goes for 27£ on mymemory with the actual voucher code

Edit: the ultra seems to be around 60mb/s in benchmarks, my EVO plus does 85+, 75+ while copying xci files.

Lol the 200GB here is 130eur what a big difference...

But the 128GB is in promotion at the same price, 39.99eur.

Oh and don't buy the SanDisk Extreme as its just a big waste of money and Switch can't really use its speed, they were tested and the ultra even wins all the time loading games like a second faster.

Nintendo Switch can't just use SanDisk Extreme full speed so it's pointless...
