You should be able to just install the 4.3u system menu and all will be fine, but dont quote me on that

Ok, new question. ModMii asks "What is your System Menu Region?", which is currently 4.3J but when it asks "Select the System Menu you would like to upgrade/downgrade to" the only option is the recommended 4.3, there is no option for "U" to go from 4.3J to 4.3U, just 4.3J to 4.3.

Should I select 4.3U as my menu region even thought it's on 4.3J?? Will this install the 4.3U firmware??

Ok, after a little more research it looks like ModMii will not change the region of a Wii, but it was recommended to very carefully use AnyRegion Changer then use ModMii to mod it. I'll see if I can find it, the like originally posted no longer had it available to download.

Edit 1: Hmmm - Anyone have any more recent ways for me to get this 4.3J Wii to 4.3U or is there another setting in ModMii that might do it during the mod?

Edit 2: Ok, so I used ModMii on my JAP Wii and it worked great, just like all the other Wii's I'd worked on. The modding process brought up all the exploits in English so there was no problem installing everything. My only issue now is that the console still boots up in Japanese and all the Wii menu selections are in Japanese, but all the apps are in English and just hitting BACK or LOAD in Japanese is easy enough to get the going. I was originally worried that I was going to have a problem with AnyRegion Changer because the Wii needed to be modded first, but now that I can see everything I load onto it in HB is in English I'll get around to seeing about changing the region at a later time. All Wii & GameCube titles working as expected, in English. Thanks @DeadlyFoez for the encouragement to go forward with this tonight!!

ModMii was about to finish downloading its files for hacking, but then Malwarebytes detected a "ransomware" (that I was not able to see what was; and I failed to find a log of that detection), and ModMii... just closed suddenly. I'm honestly not sure if that was something else, or a false alarm from the antivirus. I am also not sure whether it downloaded everything already. If this serves helpful, I'll run a tree command on my SD card, USB drive and ModMii installation:

Turn it off? There is no ransomware in what ModMii downloads.

Modmii has a region change wizard guide as well, use that

Maybe I was reading an OLD thread so I didn't think ModMii did this. Yes, this is great to know, I'll fire her up and give it a whirl...

To follow up, this worked great. I never needed it before and always just used the first option on ModMii. The region change guide in ModMii worked perfectly.

Now all the menus on my Japanese Wii are in English. Thanks XFlak for such a great program interface!!

Anyone had issues with Corsair Voyager sticks ? I formatted my 8GB to WBFS or FAT32 , it is not recognised by the Wii . Also , looking for Priiloader installer and WiiMc Channel Installer ,both with WiiMotion+ support

Don't use Flash Drives, they don't work well. You should be using a hard drive instead.

I found this program to be very helpful, so thank you for that. :)

However, now that I no longer have a need for it, I would like to remove it from my computer. Strangely, it does not seem to be appearing within Programs and Features, nor does there appear to be a seperate executable for uninstall. I feel like an idiot for asking, but what am I missing here? Any help would be appreciated.

Modmii is a "Portable app", you can delete its entire folder and/or shortcut(s) and it will be completely removed
Ah, I see. I feel stupid for not realizing it myself, but at least now I can stop worrying over it. :P

Thanks for the help and thank you for making this application. I found it to be extremely useful, and will certainly turn to ModMii again in the future if the need arises.

Not a stupid question at all. Most apps include uninstallers, mine does not. I'm surprised I don't think I've ever been asked this question before, and I should've probably at least mentioned the "uninstall" procedure on the website somewhere. I'd do it now... If only I weren't too lazy to update the site... Lol

Report generated on 07/26/2018.

I used ModMii v6.4.8 wizard to create a guide and download files to copy to SD.

Booted Wii > comes up BootMii 2007-2010 and options > chose SD
(controllers don't respond so used Power and Reset buttons to navigate and select)
run bootmini.elf > This software must not be sold

hangs with still no controller control or the press "1" showing up
wait 10+ minutes still no press "1"

Can you help please.

I've had times when I didn't even get the BootMii screen and had to force it down and go back into re-launch the Letterbomb. One of mine actually took 4 trys, but most worked the first time and a few took a couple trys. Just force it down and try it again to see if it works. If not try it 3 or 4 times. Yes once the BootMii screen shows it does take a minute or so for the PRESS 1 to show up, but not that long.

Everything up to this point is okay?
I didn't erase anything on the SD card from before, I just copied to it.

Edit: since yesterday, have probably tried this 10 times or more
