Hmm... I think people will prefer emulators for the actual system. That, or an easy way to load the payload while starting the console (like luma does).

Actual emulators will need to be ported. Here, OpenGL is already available and running at full speed. The only drawback is that we're tied to available cores for arm64.

Just for my own "culture". It's a port of a distribution for the raspberry PI. This one is arm64. I don't understand why the cores are not compatible. Or it's the RPI that have more instructian than our switch ?

@natinusala check projects/Switch/packages/switch-bootloader/bootscript/boot.txt and try changing fbcon 3 to fbcon 0 to fix the screen rotation. fbcon is a bootloader flag to rotate the framebuffer and it's currently set to rotate counter-clockwise ;) As much as I'd love to have the PR to potentially fix the screen rotation on my Github, I can't compile Lakka to test because Ubuntu is being lame. Hope this fixes the issue!

awesome work dude. the ui looks so smooth (:

curious, whats keeping the audio from working? im aware theres no driver. But how come its so difficult to write an audio driver? Not trying to rush you or be facetious. Im legit interested in how everything works.

we have audio drivers but there is simply alot of other things to do to get it working , nvidias original drivers are simply a mess

fbcon=rotate:3 rotates the framebuffer console - if I put it to 0 the boot logs (and tty0) will be in portrait mode. It's currently set to 3 because I don't want it to be portrait.

Ahh, that would make sense. I figured the framebuffer rotation was persisted throughout the boot process. Sorry to get anyone’s hopes up!

What's with all these hackers releasing shit for Switch in vertical mode? It looks stupid, since the Switch isn't a phone, or designed for vertical use.

The last few posts above yours are multiple people literally talking about how they're trying to rotate the screen into it's proper mode. Please do some research (or actually read the thread) before attempting to complain about things.

Because the LCD is vertical from a hardware point of view. We need to rotate everything.

And I don't see where I released a vertical version of Lakka ?
