I only use the original charger and even if it dies I will only buy another official one...
About the dock I dont care a single bit 4 it, I would rather prefer to have paid less like 50 eur without the dock, but here theres just the switch with dock versions. Never tried it its still wrapped in the box.
And I always charge my Switch with just the charger and I put it on a table and sometimes when its at 100% battery I play a bit with the charger on as it bypasses battery and uses charger to power it up instead like the power delivery chargers...
This is the thing I most like on the Switch... On my Nvidia Shield tablet 4 example with the original 5V 2.1 A charger even at 100% battery with the charger connected to it, just by browsing internet or youtube the battery instead of staying at 100% drops and on a demanding game even with the charger ON it just drops battery like NUTS, while the Switch is more like a laptop it can be used with battery or it can stay fully charged and use AC instead.
