Wow, this (movie that clip is from) is a thing!

Trailer:
h**ps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ux08Gu7d0sY

Heres a quote: "How come young brothers like you don't *spittake* spit out the seeds?!"

Announcer voice: "In a story, the way only prince could tell it."

*roflchopper*
It is a horrible, horrible movie. I was really into Prince back in 1990 (yes I am THAT old, and I want my Switch hacked). I wanted to like this movie. It was not possible. :-)

Good Job , waiting for it to come out to test the cfw. It looks like it's done with a lot of love, let's go scires and company, it will undoubtedly be a great day

I'm 20 minutes away from finishing it. :) Movie is a living statement what can happen if a wealthy artist with something equivalent to a religious believe, pumps money into a vehicle to bring his vision to the world.. ;) (And everyone around him says yes.. ;) )

Its Luchino Visconti all over again. :) Still, the ambiance is lucid, the music isn't half bad and Morris Day is quoted on the work as follows:

"But in the end he gets the girl and he beats us with a ballad. He changes our hearts and minds and makes us into good, church-going individuals with a song [laughs]." src wiki

The film (Graffiti Bridge) flopped, but at the same time Prince had a Nr. 6 (Charts) album out in the US, holding the same title. Its a wonderful contradiction and a trainwreck of a movie. :) And its watchable (mainly because of the score that never stops and the lucid ambiance.. ). Thanks for referencing it, I think I'm enjoying it... :) [end of OT]

You don't need to bypass the encryption keys as the process of updating emuNAND gets you the necessary keys to play games. The main point of this cfw is to maintain homebrew usage while being able to use latest firmware to play the latest games. Mostly so SciresM can do pokemon hacking when the time comes. And with emuNAND, you don't really need to block updates except for sysNAND, which will need to be done with dns/proxy like we have been doing. The main point of emuNAND is to have it on the latest firmware.
Bro, could you break some of that down for me? I really don't know what emuNAND is even though I've installed it before. Not sure what it does, or how to install it. If you install it through Homebrew does it stay there? Also my understanding was since the updates came with new encryption keys a workaround or deception would be needed, so for example a CFW could bypass that need. Same with accessing the stores and all that.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, feel free to point me somewhere that is good at answering all this. I was assuming Homebrewing the Switch would be fairly pointless right now.

The TrustZone reimplementation needs to implement all the stuff 5.x does differently to support eventual 5.x emunand.

Geez, so basically when CFW is out, the emunand OS won't be able to access eShop for a while. Gotta keep my extra Switches around for a while.

emuNAND is an amalgamation of the terms emulation and NAND.
https://gbatemp.net/threads/guide-a-noobnands-guide-to-sysnand-and-emunand.410439/

Read for more info.

If you install homebrew on emuNAND, it is only accessible through the emulated environment.

edit: Even though the guide is on the 3DS section, I believe the concepts apply to the Switch as well.

OK so now that I get what EmuNAND is I guess that's the same thing I use on my Wii. I'm not even sure if it has a CFW, I used the Brawl exploit to homebrew it over the network a long time ago. It has BootLoader and the homebrew channel. Now the issue some people were having on the Wii was certain updates would brick the system when detecting Homebrew. The other thing was the inability to update in earlier stages. On the Switch the games force update but so does EShop and online stuff. I still want to use Eshop and likely online multi-player, as well as friend codes. If I install the current day Switch EmuNAND and load homebrew, will it stay there? Will future games still need an update to play? And will Eshop still be inaccessible? Or can I just use SciresM's CFW to work around those things?

It will be more similar to 3ds days of emuNAND. You'll be mostly able to update, but occasionally you'll need to wait for cfw to update as new items in the newer firmwares will need to be added/fixed in cfw. Though we'll likely have emuNAND backup and restore, so just like on 3ds best practice is to make an emuNAND backup before installing the update or just waiting until others test it.

They already have logo. I think they can use that. For me its a good looking.
They want an entire splash image for atmosphere boot, something like what I designed on the discord:
