Just have to get used to the controls, kept hitting B to tackle when on defense...

You nailed it, I do the exact same

Guys! On "My FIFA" you can select the better Control Style of PES. Its called in the Game "Arcade" its much better than crappy FIFA controls!

Figured that out finally, enjoying the game even more now, putting choose player and pass on same button didnt make much sense...

Had a few more games and still liking this a lot.

Use safe mode + trim on G6 Lite. Runs pretty well; I notice a sound glitch whenever leaving the menu to play--the song that's playing skips something fierce--but otherwise, this is pretty solid. Will wait to try WiFi, obviously...

Actually, I've been having some really good impressions on this game, albeit some annoyances.

1st - The graphics are much better than '07, and the camera replay angle is much nicer. The controls feel much easier and smooth too, although there is a little lag on the player side when tackling and so on. Nothing too significant, though.

2nd - Local and Download Play gets a little hands-down though. Playing twice, once in DP, and Local Multiplayer, me being host first and client the next, playing a match. Midway, we got disconnection errors and were forced to play WiFi.

3rd - WiFi is just excellent. It's probably one of the best WiFi features games on the DS, not to mention that it's the first time that EA implements WiFi in FIFA. A Wi-Fi friends match was played, all went well. Then I played globally, and apart from a tiny bit of lag (normal), the gameplay was just awesome. I loved it. Compared to Winning Eleven, it's SO much better.

I give it a 9/10. It's an excellent upgrade from '07, and finally, we get to play some quality football on our DSes.

Recommended.

this is the best FIFA NDS release yet... the multiple camera angles and sweet replays (even though when close you notice how low-poly the charactors really are. but the controls and gameplay are very well done. lots and lots of options, right up there with it's console counterpart. this will have a place on my flash cart for quite some time.
