My rabbit managed to get hold of my red joy con and chewed off the entire rubber cap. All that's left is the analog underneath (or what's left of it).

I'm thinking of using these caps I found on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-ThumbStick-TechMatte-Thumbstick-precision/dp/B073QVJ41W

Does anyone have experience with these? Do you think it'll solve my no-rubber problem, or would it be too loose and fly off in the process of me using it? I can't go without rubber. Also, I'm aware I could replace the whole analog stick. That will be my actual solution to this. I just need something to get by in the meantime. I don't know if you ever played with someone without a rubber, but it's difficult.

Is it chewed up beyond all repair or did it just come off? Crazy glue does wonders with rubber caps. My stick on my 3DS had its cap randomly fall off, so I just put a dab of crazy glue on and it's been good for over a year. That also applies to your looseness problem. It all depends on the current state of your joycon, since that link you provided appears to be made to put on top of the existing joystick, not to replace it. 'Course, if it's under warranty you could always try sending it in.

That thing is shredded, beyond repair. I was thinking the same thing about it not fitting/replacing it. I was thinking of ways to add thickness, then thought I was overthinking it. Unfortunately, I don't think they cover animal damage though. I'll just probably wait for my analog stick in the mail from Ali. Hopefully it won't take three weeks.

If the cap is completely off then just say any score marks on the joycon are from you trying to give more surface area for your tape when trying to put it back on. Worst case scenario? They send it back.

I wore down my ps4 controller rubber, I got these little rubber replacements that go over at best buy, and they work great.

Found the link: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insign...d-playstation-3-black/4691400.p?skuId=4691400

Just buy joystick cap replacement on eBay they are usually very cheap and easy to replace...

In almost all my gamepads I put super glue on the joystick rubber even whent they are new, and they never wear out, I also make 4 dots to grab brtter.

But chewed by a rabbit LOL that even sounds like a joke .
