I have some questions about hakchi modifications. i know that folders and icon/graphics can be modified, as well as background music and thumbnail removal. but i am wondering about moving/removing some of the graphics/artwork that appear. like flipping the top to the bottom/bottom to top of the console graphics; per the attached image. and 'removing' the entire settings menu from the top where language, display, manuals and such are; also per the attached image. and their removal, such that pushing the up button doesnt do anything. while leaving of course the down button to access save states. and finally also hiding the 'hints' of what controller buttons do that appear just above the bottom half of the console graphics.

is it possible to create such a modification to install through hakchi?

Here is all my games. I have 208 so far. I wish I could add more but I don't know did I miss some good game.
...

I've loaded all my favorite games in Arcade (mostly SNK & Capcom games) and PS1 as they are pretty hard to export but I just throw all "U/US/EU" NES, SNES, SEGA and N64 roms then just search whatever I feel to run or missed game in my childhood :) Kind of like retro games library in my living room.

USB host is the best thing happen since Cluster optimizes hakchi for fast game exports, Don't limit yourself! :)

wish I could do something about Ninja Baseball Batman. The game seems to play just fine...for the most part. It's mainly the sound that's wonky. It's like this...the game starts, but the music sounds all...muffled and scratchy. Kind of like static almost. Then, where there is a scene transistion, for instance in between levels when the game map pops up to show you what level you're on, it skips and stutters....going back to normal as soon as it loads.

Don't get me wrong. I'm just happy to finally get the game working at all. And after a while of playing it, I barely, if at all, notice the weird audio issues. It's just a little nitpick with me. If it doesn't get solved...oh well, at least I can PLAY the game...

And with Rampage....still can't select between the three characters. I can choose first or second character, the green lizard man and the brown ape, if I put in a second controller, but the third character, the white wolf man, can't be picked. Not a massive deal as they all seem to control the same.

There are ways to use 3rd character in Rampage, as well as other games with similar issues. If it is a big deal, I can better elaborate. If not, and you are fine with the first 2 characters, it isn't as big a deal:) I may also add a performance tweak to help Ninja Baseball Batman run a little better, as well. Did you get to try out Lunar Lander yet?

Use Hakchi2 CE, linked to in my Github, uninstall kernel, flash custom, reinstall hmods from my set. Pay attention to COMMANDS folder in Xtras Folder:)

https://github.com/KMFDManic/NESC-SNESC-Modifications/releases

Thanks for the reply.I tried one more time with version 2.30 and again i had the C8 error. The only thing i didn't try is to install the 2.30 with an older version of RetroArch.
Anyway..I installed the version 2.21f and all works fine for me again.I didn't try the CE version because i haven't much free time to read what are the differences between the standard hachi 2 and the hachi 2 CE,and i want to know what i'm doing.
But yes,i will check the CE version when i can.
Thanks again.

I know for NES games you can have up to 30 per folder without issues. Is that the same with Sega Genesis games too? Or should we keep less Genesis games per folder?

The reason I'm asking is I loaded folders with 30 genesis games (per folder) and I noticed a C8 error after playing a game and exiting to the menu. It only happened once but I wanted to
verify the number of games per folder is ok. I was also curious what the recommended games/folder is for SNES/SegaCD/PCE-CD

Am I safe with everything at 30 games / folder?

I just updated to the latest Hakchi CE and am using KMFDM's latest coreset for everything! (works pretty good so far and I like the loading menu, I did notice the menus take longer to go back to from in game but that's ok since we're getting better memory utilization)

I tried a couple Gameboy shaders and they seemed to run super slow (at least with GB Castelvania Belmont's Revenge). Anything that emulates the LCD screen seems to be unplayable at least with Belmont's Revenge.

The 30 games per folder isn't console specific and applies to all games.

I have a beginners question about importing my old settting for the nes mini into hakchi ce for snes mini.
How would I do it?
Manually edit the config files and desktop files into the new format (via find & replace or sed) and copy into the new folders accordingly, or is there a more clever way?

Are there limits to the number of games per folder if you use the USB host? I was thinking of setting this up soon, with GBA, psone, nes, etc folders.

Would I then need to set up sub folders in these console folders?

You don't want to go over 45 per folder. This isn't due to the size of the games, it's just a limitation of the SNES Classic itself when trying to display all the game art images before the memory gets offended.

**UPDATE 3-20-18**

This is a very special release:) RetroArch has some voodoo magic going on now, courtesy of the very magical Aspect Ratio Fix Additions of BsLeNuL! You can now use CRT/4:3/Pixel Perfect with Canoe Borders with a very nifty Toggle Ability! Simply hold down L1 while loading a Game from Main GUI to enable the --bezel-mode, and R1 while loading a Game from Main GUI to disable the --bezel-mode! Like OpenBor, you will be running Desmune Emulator via PPSSPP Core:) Go figure! In Xtras Folder is the NDS Template! Merely add the eboot portion of it as a Game, then copy the NDSROM folder into the install directory, as well as any games you wish to test within it. There is no limit to how many games you can copy, unlike OpenBor! /bin/ppsspp will load it. You can additionally use Dummy Folder method and copy the template folder. I also applied MAME 2003 tweaks for Outrunners and Stadium Cross. Go to Core Options and set frame skip to 5 to get better sound and speed! I updated FBA 2016, MAME 2010, and RetroArch. I also added M.U.G.E.N. Tech Demo in Xtras! Enjoy this fine RetroArch, NDS themed release for now! Personal thanks to BsLeNuL, who is now an honorary and true member of both the Original & the Other Guys' Team, due to his absolute devotion to this scene!!! And, thanks to DanTheMan827 and TeamShinansen for their great work with Hakchi2 CE! Definitely check it out from the above link! And, as always, thanks madmonkey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And, lastly, thanks to Shawnsub & Gingerbeardman for their patience and help in testing many many things!!! Here are a few videos showing this Release in action!!! I will get to more User Requests this week:) Thanks for surviving the Wall of Text, as usual:)

**SNES Classic - Nintendo DS Test**

**SNES Classic - M.U.G.E.N. Demo, RetroArch Magical Bezel On the Fly Mode! Nintendo DS & Odyssey 2:)**

**SNES Classic - Arcade Woes - Vol 2 - NBA JAM 2P & Outrunners**

Be sure to check out some of my other more recent videos, as well:)

**Enjoy this Update!!!**

People help. My Windows was down yesterday. That was fixed but I lost my hakchi2 2.30 with one hard disc that was wiped out. I have snes mini kernel backed up one several places so that is luckily saved. What should I do now if I wanna return everything synced just like in my images above. If I install hakchi2 2.30 again would snes mini return games that are already installed? Or I should put every game again in hakchi?
