Hmm, I tested it with svdt and it worked perfectly fine. I used the digital version of Project Mirai, though. Could that be why?

Oh, well in that case you don't need custom firmware. Homebrew methods work fine.

To make peoples' lives easier (The ones who have CFW) I am currently working on porting my save editor to an NTR Plugin!

so i need python? sorry i dont know what that is
Python is basically a programming language you can install that lets you launch .py files which are basically a .exe that is unpacked code.
Go here https://www.python.org/downloads/
And download and install the 2.7.12 package as that works for me.
After the installation finishes, just double click the .py file and it should run much like a .exe :3
I'm having a problem, I've already installed it, and when i run the file it opens in a form of cmd then close instantly..
You don't double click the python file. You have to run the python file through the command prompt. If you have windows:

This also actually unlocks Leia's unused slot, and is the only way to unlock it:
If u enable the unused code in pv_db that is.

So I decided to kind of pick this up again. I say kind of because I didn't add anything to the functionality, minus the fact that it's now it's own GUI!
Yes, I learned how to write a GUI in python just for this. So, I updated the first post with the new GUI. You can download it at the bottom of the first post labeled "PMDXSE-GUI.zip".

But the reason why I updated it this time is because I've created the Action Replay cheat codes for it! It's a much simpler way to do all the things that the Save Editor can do! I've put instructions in the first post on how to setup everything so you can run the cheats straight from your 3DS!

For some reason, whenever I try to use the 'Unlock Super Hard' hack, no super hard option appears on any of the songs that are supposed to have them, and all of the Hard difficulties say 'New'. Am I doing something wrong here?
Are you using the Python GUI or the Action Replay codes?
EIDT: if it is the Action Replay codes, there is a small quick to the codes "Unlock all Songs", "Unlock Hard/Super Hard" and "Set Each song to Max/Perfect Rank":

So I know this is probably very late, but ive just downloaded this, and was wondering if anyone could help me install this. i tried the autoreplay, couldn’t figure out how to install it, all I get is a purple screen instead of the green screen. I tried the python, had no idea what to do. when i tried the non-python way, it did work, but i couldn't unlock any of the super hard modes. Can anyone help me with this?

The "Perfect" option isn't really perfect as the name implies
- It doesn't max out the relationship with all the vocaloids
- It doesn't unlock the alternate vocals for the songs that have them
