Having an absolute mare with flashing my snes classic
Everything been running flawless using USB until last night

Updated to 1.1.0CE or tried to, uninstalled fine, flashed stock firmware fine, flash custom firmware jst won't happen at all
Constant errors nearly always during the building custom part of the flash every time

Tried different USB cables different laptops I'm at a complete loss why it won't flash using 1.1.0, tried running it from my USB HD, desktop and a different hd, on one occasion I get write protect error?? Wtf on my 500g hd

But tried the new 2.30 cluster and it flashes fine no error, so I guess it's something to do with the CE version on this occasion
But my USB drive didn't detect on snes with 2.30 haha although thinking about it all games added were done with the CE version
Would that make any difference? Would I have to re add all games with 2.30 frontend cant see why that would make any difference

Can add the error log thing from hakchi if any wants a look

Thanks

Uninstall using 2.3, then do Fresh Hakchi2 CE directory, copy dump folder, then Uninstall again, then custom flash. Deselect default games, add just one single test SNES Game, no need for HMODS. Make it one you know will work, such as Super Mario World. Also, clear your temporary internet files, and make sure you are running with Administrative rights.

Thanks manic tried that still the same it fails at the flash custom kernel part every time same part. It dumps the kernel then when it tries to build it it fails
Using hakchi CE it wont uninstall it either it fails within 10secs

Hakchi 2.3 works fine as far as I can tell that will uninstall and flash factory kernel fine and custom kernel. But it doesn't see my USB hd which has 21gig of games on which took ages to setup perfectly

Any other ideas to try until a new version of CE comes out

Just wondering if you are using AMD processor? I have a problem with my Ryzen PC when flashing kernels so I do it on my Intel laptop. No big deal it's just one time.

Other than that install/uninstall games and hmods works using my pc.

No windows 8
Flashed it with hakchi2 1.0.0 CE and it works fine again looks like something in 1.1.0 CE doesn't like my laptop
All good again reinstalled all hmods running rtype Leo so I know everything is up to date :)

One last thing is there any need to flash kernel with the current CE 1.1.0 or an updated version over 1.0.0??

Will I benefit anything

I am using 1.1.0 to put the games on and sync to USB no problems it just won't flash haha
Thanks for the input

Think it's an AMD
I think it's just something with the latest build that's incompatible with my setup
Every other version is fine

Exactly what I've mentioned here few pages back and everyone seems to have an Intel setup. You can search people having the same issue as well in google and maybe they already have the solution.

I don't have much time investigating it and my nes mini already sitting nicely in my living room but I think it has something to do with the external tools, can't remember.

UPDATE 3-3-18

Today is for you NESC Users:) I fixed and Updated the NESC CRT Filter Hack to work properly with Current RetroArchs in my set. Watch the video to see it in action, and how to install/uninstall/use it:) Again, this is meant for RetroArchs in my Core Set, for now. I will modify things to work with "Other" RetroArchs tomorrow. For now, install the appropriate CRT Filter Hack, based on whether you are using Standard or FFMPEG RetroArch Variants! Otherwise, MAME 2010 Fixed, NP2Kai Updated, FBA 2016 Updated:) I will get more User Requests in, for next Update, too! But, CRT Filter was the number one Priority, based on User Feedback, for the moment. Enjoy the Update NESC Users:) Personal Thanks to the original people who helped work on this amazing CRT Hack! (rhester72, Tmnt4242, hizzlekizzle, Kobe46, etc:)

NES Classic - CRT Filter Hack Updated!

And, of course:)

I hate that hakchi ce!

everytime i want to flash a module i got this error!

Code:
Invalid kernel size: 39018496 at com.clusterrr.hakchi_gui.WorkerForm.Memboot(Int32 maxProgress, Int32 progress) in C:\hakchi2\WorkerForm.cs:line 1491
   at com.clusterrr.hakchi_gui.WorkerForm.ProcessMods() in C:\hakchi2\WorkerForm.cs:line 1462
   at com.clusterrr.hakchi_gui.WorkerForm.StartThread() in C:\hakchi2\WorkerForm.cs:line 349

i complete uninstall everything and make a factory reset!

when i flash uboot and kernel with hakchi1 and then flash the hakchi ce kernel the error is not there.

but when i flash uboot and kernel with hakchi ce i got the error

I Only have nes in nesmini and senes in snesmini.

All My games works like they should... i think.

I have an earlier version of hakchi and no need to use usb-host.

Will i benefit on the new version of hakchi and retroarch? Or should i just use what i have now.

@rhester72 - I was using this great mod as I did not like the NTSC wobble. I updated to Hakchi2.30 and installed the Mod but got C7 errors?
I removed the Mod and the C7 errors stopped.

Anyone else getting this? And is it fixable for Hakchi 2.30

Thanks.

NESCE filters? We don't need no steenkin' filters...

Upon a user's request, I created the following NESCE/kachikachi-specific hmods:

http://www.rendezvo.us/nes/nes_no_ntsc_filter.hmod will remove the NTSC 'wobble' from kachikachi but still display scanlines

http://www.rendezvo.us/nes/nes_crt_no_scanlines.hmod will do the opposite, removing scanlines from kachikachi but keeping NTSC 'wobble'

Both have been tested and cleanly uninstall (but are obviously mutually exclusive!) without interfering with Retroarch if it is installed.

Enjoy!

If it ain't broke, why fix it? That's my motto! ;)
I run hakchi 2.15 for NES mini and 2.21f for SNES mini. Both work great for my needs!

There have been multiple complaints raised about incompatibilities with 2.30 (and CE), but unfortunately I do not know how to fix them - both projects are too much of a moving target and I don't see an easy way to make it compatible with all.

One of the Hakchi developers may have better insight, but to be fair, it was necessarily a pretty complicated mod.

Very Nice Update, indeed:) I was able to Fix, Update, and Merge all of the RetroArchs into one single Entity of a Version:) FFMPEG Video Support and Xtreme Performance Upgrade are now Add-Ons! Things will be much less confusing and easier to manage! RetroArch Merged Video covers the Install/Uninstall Process! CRT Filter Hack for NESC also Updated again, into one singular version for RetroArch in my set! MAME 2000 UPDATED! (You can now use MAME Options with R2 and configure Controls!!! I additionally Updated FBA 2016, mGBA, NP2kai, MrBoom, Genesis Plus GX,& fceumm. Today, I give very personal thanks to my good friend gpstar, who helped with the MAME 2000 testing and updating. He has some very nice surprises coming our way soon, related to MK!!! Think Final Fight Sega CD OST with a MK Twist! Personal thanks to Shawnsub, as well, for being a valuable asset and friend in many test Perimeters, including PSP, PC-98, X68000! Expect more fun stuff throughout the week, including something along the lines of Zelda, as well as more User Requests!!! Enjoy the Update, everyone:)

MSU-1 works absolutely fine. You need to make sure you add them correctly. I always have MSU-1 going:) Command line for your MSU-1 that don't work?

Good news!
What do you mean with "add ons"? How can you " activate" them?

Hey KMFDManic, thanks for all your great work.
One question, have you gotten Terminator 2 arcade shooter to work?
I tried once but the controls were screwed. Even after i calibrated them again from the cabinet menu. The aim cursor would stick to the upper left corner for some reason:/
And other question: if i order retrobit snes classic adapter can i really use Dualshock 4 with all these games? Thanks!
