Okay. What I am about to ask has to do with the NAND, and the files stored within it.

From what I understand, the NAND stores all system files, as well as downloads, and game save content.

One of the things I have been wondering is: Is Miiverse a system application, tied to the Wii U OS, or is it something else?

(before anyone asks, this is about the "bring back Miiverse" thing people want...)

miiverse is built into the os and you can brick if you try to modify it or remove it

Since, as previously stated, Miiverse is a system applet, any modifications to load Foxiverse instead with our current level of access would need to be runtime patches loaded from a different location, such as the SD Card.

Bummer. I only now realized with Miiverse gone, that my Wii U main menu showing all those default messages in main menu isn't because I forgot to setup the WLAN again after coming home - This time it is something else that isn't coming home...

I was gonna ask if there was any way to do something about that in any thread that was "on the topic" - this one is close enough and answer to "Can the main menu of Wii U Miiverse be modified" seems to be a "no"

well i deleted miiverse with FBI and nothing happened except it just says an error has occurred so no brick. panic over I did the same to nintendo zone viewer and nothing happened either except it justs gets deleted normally lol. I frequently get system update notices (but it's just telling me my system might need a fix. what i've been told) after the update those system apps come back lol meaning i can load them both no problem (except for nintendo zone viewer obviously) and miiverse also loads just to obviously tell me the app has discontinued. sorry if this is an old post. I just thought i should say it won't brick your system if you modify or remove it.

All correct, system title != critical for booting
