Excellent piece of homebrew right here! I only have one tiny complaint.....

I wish it would have had an option to use the buttons to fire. Using the touchscreen to shoot is a little annoying for me.

But otherwise, it's the best homebrew game since Lemmings DS. I want to see what the official Geometry Wars will have over this, if anything.

Anybody got it to work on a slot 2 card? Specifically the m3lite perfect? I already patched it with chisms dldi tool and got black screens. Then I ran it thru DLDIrc and still black screens. Any help would be appreciated.
I too have the same problem, with my M3SD (slot-2) kit... black screens after patching with DLDItools and running M3GM: direct copying... :'(

RE: Problems running on slot 2
I run it on a slot 2 device - supercard sd - works find for me.

EZ4 and M3Lite users -> I don't know why it wouldn't work on those carts - and I don't have them to test but let me ask around. If you have more info - please let me know - just post it here - and I'll keep an eye on the thread....

Cheers!

Works perfectly on mine: i patched it with dldi tools, transferred it on microSD using the "M3 Game Manager" (to avoid any annoying message on rebooting), launched it using the START button.
Nice work indeed, congrats guys!

What settings did you use in M3 Game manager? Thanks

On each tabs:
Main : Everything UNchecked
Read Method : Normal (Force R/W UNCKECKED)
NO Trim Rom.

By the way, patching with dldi tools and simply copy-pasting the .nds on the storage card without using the M3 Game Manager surely works, but provides the annoying save error upon rebooting... Dont use the A button, use START!

I tried all of the methods already and still can't get it to work. Would you mind hosting the patched rom?

Excellent game! I haven't had this much fun with a homebrew game since warcraft-TD

I wouldn't have minded like 5 more extra stages though.. with maybe bosses? Great game nevertheless, gj

Wow...It broke my save file...Weird. But yeah, good game...Besides this bug of course.

Sorry Ashura Zero, but I just nabbed first place on Zone 1, beating yours by a whopping 200,000 give or take.
Yes, my name is Corey.

It appears the save is fine, but it isn't a 512Kb save so it seems the M3/R4 cannot read it.
When you start the game on the R4/M3S, don't let it create the save file for you. Press "X" to ignore. Geo Wars will create its own save file on the root of your microSD.

This is easily one of the best homebrew games I've seen. I hope sumiguchi and his team win the compo with this high-quality job. And I mostly hope they keep developing. Great stuff.

And DAMN Killermech! Over 2 million on Mission 10? I thought my hand was going to permanently cramp when I tried for over 1 million.

awesome game, had to do a little tinkering to get it working on my SC CF, the .sc.nds file wouldn't boot, so I dldi patched the .nds and applied a loader as well, and it works perfect now, I do have an R4, but I prefer to keep all my homebrew on the sc and leave the R4 for com games only.

Advice for those playing, get a thumbstrap or something, using the stylus is kinda hard. I'm using my old NDS thumbstrap, its literally perfect for this type of game, I hope they rerelease it for geometry wars.

Sorry to bump: But those who got it working on an M3SD (slot-2)... how?

I have used every patching method on the M3GM 34D, after DLDI'ing it. So ranging from Direct Copying and no Force R/W, no Trim to even Normal, no Force R/W, no trim... Btw, I'm using the *.ds.gba one. If I used the *.nds one, then the icon wouldn't display the details on the M3... I have also used the one supplied here, no avail as well... :'(

Please help, I do want to enjoy this game amongst the lot of you.
