That's kinda dumb... the nunchuck has the same motion sensing capabilities as the Wii remote minus the pointer, so having 2 Wii remotes AND a nunchuck doesn't make any sense.
Well, the problem is that the Powerglove has such a bad reputation that you don't want to call anything Powerglove 2... Imagine an awesome new 3D graphics console from Nintendo but called Virtual Boy 2...Some people seem to be having trouble differentiating between the original powerglove and the potential of powerglove2.
The original was an unresponsive pile of shnit that was rubbish for controlling the thousands of available games.
A new version would incorperate wiimote technology and would have games designed for it much like games are designed around wiimote.
Use your imagination people!
@veho - Looks cool but you can't use the buttons on the wiimote
You really don't see any advantages in having wiimote technology at 5 points on your hand? It would allow the wii to perfectly map, and take advantage of, the full dexterity of the human hand! The question is: What use does the Powerglove design have in games that Wiimote + Nunchuk can't provide? If the answer is "none but it would be awesome" then you won't get to see any games designed for it but instead only a cheap crappy third party glove.I can't think of any advantages.

Read that again and smack yourself. Why would any video game need the full dexterity of the human hand? Does a GTA clone need a hand gesture to make a middle finger? A system like this can be better suited for Robotics not a game console. That's why you don't see Nintendo shelling out millions for R&D to make this. Wiimote and nunchaku is good enough.

Does a GTA clone need the dexterity of wiimote? No it doesn't. So if nintendo followed your "logic" the wiimote would never have been developed!
I agree, no current videogame needs the full dexterity of the human hand, but if a controller did offer the full dexterity of the human hand we would see a lot of innovative and interesting games being developed (as is happening now with wiimote)
*thought* I'd be interested to know how many people here doubted wiimote when it was first unveiled.

Developers already have a crap time making games feel not gimicky with the current control scheme (see MK:APrince of persiaMetal slug Super swing golf) For nintendo to say Hey look we got a glove, use it. Theirs no way in hell developers are gonna use it fully when they can't even use the wiimotes right
As a game developer myself, I want you to think about how guys like me would actually make a game, where you controle the stuff with each finger, it's pointless, unessarily complicated, useless. It would be great to mimic the hand, in a game you actually needed the use of your fingers seperatly... but what kind of game can you turn that into? Pretty much just a hand simulator.
The only good way to utilize it, is just like how you use the remote.
Now one can argue that you can use each finger to controle different things, but try and wrap your brain around that.
I can't think of a game that justifies the cost of 5 motion sensors in a glove.

Out of the games currently on sale? No, neither can I. But that's not the point - can you think of any PS2, GC, or Xbox games that justified the cost of developing wiimote? I can't.
STFU already! Give us a good example of a game that will use this properly. Cause your only counter point is "no nothing out now will use it. but something down the road." Well give us what this something down the road and tell us how easy it would be for developers to make it useful.

Come to think of it, that would be pretty cool on wii!!
