Nah, they won't show it this year, and even less on a GameStop Expo. Is like saying that the new PS5 will be announced on the Anime Expo of my community.

Oh I don't know... The new NX will likely be a Retro Game console that will be backwards compatible with all current games, but will not have any wireless, just a 160 x 144 screen with select-able monochrome color, amber, green, or yellow...
Now you can play all your favorite games on a console that can simulate the image quality of the original Game-boy!

We are half a year away from the supposed launch date, the clients have to know what kind of system they will be dealing with in time.

And besides, what other major gaming convention is there from September up to March?

Nintendo will let us know when there will be an announcement. They won't tell us what they are announcing until it happens but they will let us know in advance. Seems legit. Especially the part with the cheesy "coded" message tweet. Totally real, guys.

It's obviously going to be announced via a Nintendo Direct. Nintendo will make the "NX Direct Reveal" a week or two in advance, allow time for the press to get out there, and then show off the console to the frothing masses. I'm assuming it'll be sometime in November, right before the Christmas shopping season, but that's me just shooting an idea out there, with no facts to back it up. There's only 6 months to launch, and Nintendo promised some sort of reveal by the end of 2016, so we're not far off. Also the fact that Nintendo would shrug off TGS and E3, yet show their secret console at a Gamestop expo of all things? Pshaw.
