Hello fellow Tempers,

I have issues exporting my Monster Hunter X save, to make backup files. Whenever I try to export the save via savedatafiler, it show's me 0155400(MHX Title-id) is broken. What could be the reason it is broken and are there any solutions? I know there can be issues with .3ds or .3dz roms, but I've never experienced a broken .cia.

Thanks in advance

use extdata_dump
put config.txt it in "3ds\extdata_dump\
config.txt
Code:
; dump system
DUMP "00001554:/system"

; dump system_backup
DUMP "00001554:/system_backup"

; restore system
RESTORE "system" "00001554:/system"

; restore system_backup
RESTORE "system_backup" "00001554:/system_backup"
then run extdata_dump
choose "Dump extdata specified in config"
edit save it
run extdata_dump
choose "Restore extdata specified in config"

Oh I see. I thought it would have the same save-system as 4U, expecting user1 data etc. Thanks for the advice!

I was sort of counting on using the cartridge on two or three different 3DS's. With homebrew will it be possible to transfer the save, or is it locked to one 3DS?

I think there are some tools to manage savefiles with homebrew. But I can't exactly tell, which ones. But yes, it should be possible, if you find the right homebrew applications.

Actually I was successfully able to load my file on the other 3DS using a basic extdata_dump / restore, so that really worked out.

I know this is old, but I'm trying this same method to move a save to from my JPN N3DS to my US N3DS (CFW), and I keep getting a copying failed problem. Not sure what's going on..
