Warcraft: Tower Defense DS v0.1 beta released!

Noda has today released v0.1 beta of his much anticipated 'Warcraft: Tower Defense DS' homebrew. Here's what he has to say about the release:

Here is the first release of my game, as expected ! :-D

This version only load maps using PAFS, so only slot-2 flashcards are expected to work for now. I’m currently working on Fatlib (DLDI version) support for slot-1 flashcards, so please do not ask about it.

Also, do not forget that this is still a BETA version, so there might be a lot of bugs remaining…

PS: There’s only 1 map done for now, but as the Map Editor is included in the archive, I expect you to make a lot of new wonderful maps ! A new section will come soon on this site to allow everybody to upload their maps and make it available for everyone.

EDIT: For now, you also need the .NET 2.0 Framework to append the maps to the binary (and also to run the map editor). This need will be removed with the Fatlib version that will come with a next release.

Works with EZ-FLASH IV lite. kinda neat, but Im not into the World of Warcraft thing.

As far as I know this isn't really about World of Warcraft...but just plain regular Warcraft. And that's something completely different

Can anyone show of screenies of what the gameplay looks like on this??

It's a really nice game and i'm allready creating a nice map for it, which should be a little bit easier than the one that comes with the release, plus it's bigger.

Soo... seeing is this isn't commericial, would it be to much to ask that someone patch this for me (G6) and post it on rapidshare?
I would really appreciate it.

Check the original thread, there is a link with all three compiled.

That first map is so hard! Unless you abuse the ai's intelligence so they take some weird routes, then it's almost impossible. I only managed to barely get to round 6 once and I mostly get stuck at the first boss. Great game though, I kept trying again and again without actually getting bored.

EDIT: Doh! All it has are the save files, for some reason stuffit won't open the rest. "Format error"
Ahh, this sucks, 4 more days till I get my PC back T_T No windows emulators working on mac... Looks like I'm screwed for now.

great game, but i fear that it won't last too long because it uses copyrighted material from blizzard.

i hope that blizzard won't recognize this ds game at all

it's really great and i can't wait to play some more maps or multiplayer...

This is REAL good, I just spent 2 hours playing it, but i find it IMPOSSIBLE to get past the 5th wave or so. ( Shadow Tanks? )
Anyway, first boss, so if anyone beat that one then please, oh please, share the information on how.

I can get them down to 40 HP but not lower.
