Hi, this problem is caused by an error between the keyboard and the chair on the remote side of the connection. In other words, I'm an idiot.
Download patch 3.01; this fixes the issue on floor 8. You have to apply this patch to the original ISO; it is not a delta. Your save should work with this version. Please keep testing!

Please note that I had to play to floor 8 to test this fix. If you want fixes faster, please post saves near the bugs. Thanks.

thank you for your hard work it's working now

Actually, I couldn't figure out where it is in order to translate. Could use some help here.

Do you know any Japanese? What is the first line of Dela mode? Do you want to help translate?

So apparently those script files are in \data\ext\script. And the first one has an "unknown opcode" as its 5th opcode. So at least for right now, I won't be able to translate this.

Another edit: I modified Kelebek's program so it seems to work now. Dela mode is not that big, shouldn't take me too long to translate. I just didn't know it was there. I thought all the script files were in /data/script but not so.

EDIT: My plan for patch 4 is to have Dela Mode done and various minor fixes re: the utility menu. It should be sometime this week.

I am releasing patch 4 at this time. Download.

Changes in this patch:
1) I missed some strings in the eboot, so more of them are translated now.
2) There are now commas throughout the entire game (instead of placeholder asterisks)
3) The "Dela Mode" scripts and items are translated (I hope) - can't test as I don't have a save

Enjoy!

XSEED just announced their localization:

Brandish: The Dark Revenant
[Platform: PSP digital; Release: 2014] – A classically-styled dungeon crawler from Nihon Falcom, the storied developers of the highly-acclaimed Ys and The Legend of Heroes RPG franchises, Brandish: The Dark Revenant puts players in the role of swordsman Ares Toraernos as he climbs his way through over 40 sprawling floors of monsters, traps and puzzles in an attempt to escape a long-forgotten underground labyrinth. Along the way he repeatedly encounters his arch-rival, the voluptuous sorceress Dela Delon, who’s just as interested in claiming the bounty on his head as she is in escaping the maze herself. With each floor boasting unrelenting enemies fought in real time, elaborate booby traps, ancient treasures, tricky puzzles and thousand-year-old mysteries to solve, Brandish promises to keep players fighting for survival till the bitter end.

Well since they announced their localization, I will stop work on this project.
Any released patches will remain available for download.

They have a nasty habit of waiting a super long time after original release before announcing localizations.

I wonder if they will truly localize it, have no idea if xseed sticks to their announcements or not.

Yes, they stick to their announcements.

I think they've canceled one announced project in their company history, and according to them it was an unfortunate alignment of circumstances.

They usually do. If they don't it's because of circumstances well beyond their control. Remember Grand Knight History? They actually finished translation of the game but Vanillaware canceled the project due to their focus of Dragon's Crown.
