Hardware Just noticed the regular 3DS has been disappeared from Ninty site

Lock/delete if old ... I don't browse nintendo.com on a daily basis. But I just popped in on the main 3DS page, and found this:

Notice something missing? I'm pretty sure the regular 3DS was still there fairly recently, when did it go poof?!?

Probably to get those two to sell more, the first 3ds model has sold well. I would advise those two models too so parents would go "hmmmm my kid wants a 3ds here it shows a 3dsxl, it says it's the same thing but bigger might as well get that one." Rather than leaving shelves full with them even though I seen a lot of people (kids) with them . As for why the 2ds is faded away I don't know probably because people think it's a door stopper XD

It is big for a portable system. That's why I don't really want one.

it's no wonder it's disappearing, I have a normal 3DS for about two years now and the screen is terrible in comparison to XL
thanks to that the 3D effect is a lot harder to see too

XL might be a bit bigger but it still fits pockets, at least the people I know who own a 3dsxl never had any trouble
and I think XL is to 3DS what DS Lite was to DS Phat

Once you go to a 3DS XL, you cannot go back.
As for me taking my 3DS XL with me, I am afraid of crushing the screen in my pockets. Which I carry it in my bag when go out. Mostly I take my Japanese 3DS with me now. (Original 4.x firmware regular 3ds).

Yeah it turns out that if you dig in on the site it's still there, but only in pink and purple, and on the buy now page the retailer list is down to one. They're just selling off existing stock now.

Also, just opinion, but I'm not expecting a revision model anytime soon. Maybe later this year, but not at E3. Just a hunch. But a price drop on the XL ... that could happen.
