Try the Insecticutters (dragon element ds), they make buzzing noises like crazy. I got pretty annoyed at them, but am probably going to upgrade anyhow.

Welcome to the SA club! Im pretty much maining SA too currently, using the dios axe with a nice 220 slime which is pretty much destroying anything that moves. Also, I made that cat switch axe once but then i discovered it made that irratating cat noise and i reset-save so i didnt waste mats/money on it. It does look fantastic tho lol

LOL, Yea, overlooking the cat SA noises, its a great wep that I hope to upgrade soon. but I'll think about trying those DS if the need for them arises. but whats funny is I didnt realize that my SA was making the noises at first, just thought there were a bunch of felyns and melynx's around.

Finally managed to get a hold of 2 narga mudulla's! first was luck, second was quest reward from the DLC "colorful beasts" that one was tricky due to the fact that brachydios kept stalking me while fighting the zinogre.

Beat Pleisoth in the village. Holy farking hell that was annoying. (I ended up fishing him out with a froggie, and just wailing on it.) I ended up capturing it quickly. (I think I'd make Pleisoth's armour, although that requires a lot more grinding!)

How in the hell do you get the Brack pounder?

Iv killed Brachydios like 5 times and captured twice and iv had ZERO pounders >.< Is there a certain "breakable" you have to do? Because iv cut his tail/broke his horn and damaged both arms to the point that im seing cracks and he has to re-do his "slime" arms.... still nothing. Its getting kinda fustrating, he's an easy boss to kill and iv pretty much learned his whole rage mode pattern (mostly consisting of run under him) but i am getting sick of running him over and over again without knowing for sure what part of his body i should be focusing on or if its just luck.

I caught the Quru today. When he was limping, I placed a shock trap down, but he flew away. Eventually, he came back to that area and I placed some raw meat for him. Then boom, caught him. Not so sure about getting his armor tbh.

you should get a few, i have 15 of them

10 kills
13 caps
on him

it his GEM you be need to get and that will take a LONG time

killing/cap the sme monster OVER and OVER just to get the one part you need
thats Monster Hunter

Bought the game for 3DS and it'll soon be at my doorstep(along with Luigi's Mansion and Fire Emblem).
It's my first Monster Hunter game, so I can't wait to start slaughtering innocent creatures.

Yeah, looks awesome from the trailers and ProJared's review. I didn't download the demo, 'cuz people said it was bad(and probably 'cuz I'm still using my Acekard, so no e-shop

hey all so i just got this game and im new to series i noticed there is DLC content and was wondering can new players download and do these quests or are they only for people near end or completed the game plus any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

You can download them anytime during the game but you may not be able to do them till you get to the needed rank to do the quest(s). As of now, I believe there two quest you can do and you don't have worry about your rank but others are for HR 3+.

ty for reply btw was reading guide based on wii u version saying you can do jump dive by hold r and then pressing b i tried it but i just do normal roll not a dive jump or is that only for wii u version?

Jump dive is when you are running (r) away from a large monster and you hit the dodge roll (b). This gives you a longer invincibility frame so you can dodge an incoming attack.

after the 130+hrs of my male full Narga armor and sinister saint SA clad game, I decided to change things up a bit and started a female save, and dedicated myself to learn how to use the bow! what an awful experience that was. so I started using more comfortable weps to do the deed, but then I finally decided to stick to the bow, and finally got used to it. full wroggi set, cus lets face it, its completely awesome. and was able to kill all the low level monsters so far (G.jaggi, R.Ludroth, Peco, Barroth)
feel accomplished lol. sad thats all it takes to feel that way XD. now im just waiting for some friends to have some time to MP tanzia quests and get barrioth full set blade master and gunner.

I was always a bow/heavy gunner person but I didn't like how in this game they start off relatively weak and require more hard to get items than some of the blades.

Yea, the hunters bow was really weak, why I had to go back to LS, and SA till I hunted enough wroggi for the bow. that poison coating helps a lot. i feel that the Bow would be better for MP quests though, not as time consuming to SP with blademaster equipment.
