This probably could have been a good game, but the controls are all f*** up. When you direct your plane in one direction it just goes where ever it wants, and then in damn circles...defently not playable.

My plane doesn't go in circles. But it does take a while to decide which way to go, and then sometimes goes the longer way. I don't like the lack of control you have over the plane. I know there's manual mode, but the controls are crap. Gets boring quickly.

Some people actually like this crap, and that's the only good thing ican think of to describe it. Tenchu was crap although it was a hell alot better than this, and it's one of those gba type games too small, and too limited.

I like it. Sure the controls are shit, but the game is fairly fun. I've been playing for a few hours and it's getting tough. The is a severe lack of new planes, buying a new one is about 60k. Shame you can't see the stats before you buy it or bother saving up.

I like this Game very much. It's more an RPG than an Flight Sim.
I finished it two times.
You should play Top Gun or wait for DS Air if you want more Sim.
There is also an Combat Heli Sim(don't remember the name) for
DS...

I know this is an old thread, but I just gotta say I'm not suprised with the majority of reviews I've seen for this game. Its a 5 outta 10 almost from everyone. I just finished the last mission and I'm sad its over. I agree most of the storyline and gameplay elements were less then lackluster. But for anyone who is a bit of an aviation buff its a pretty good example of a handheld flight sim. The controls for most of the aircraft (or atleast the ones they let you play) are relatively comparable to the majority of flight sim's I've played on PC. The d-pad is not the most accurate way to fly, but using rudder and elevator in auto-mode you can actually lead on a target before your plane opens fire when the target is in range and upgrading your rig is a nice touch. It had a pretty expansive 3d world and the planes included in it were for the most part real ww2 aircraft. The final plane is awesome too! Granted the graphics were not great (Its been proven you don't need good graphics for a great flight-sim) and theres a number of spit and polish features that would have been nice (more planes, a system of trade, maybe even modular part upgrades that you could mix and match) but for what it was, I think the developers made a pretty good title.

I'm totally in love with the idea of a hand held flight sim, I can't wait for DS air and F-24. A homebrew solution would be fantastic also.

Just my $0.2
