Try to add "nand_emu_path=sd:/nand" to your config.txt.
I only tested NAND Emu from USB.
Thanks for that. The path is now recognized. HOWEVER none of the games appear on my menu.
Do I have to add them somehow else? I must be doing something wrong. The nand path runs fine in Mighty Channels.

Hi, I have just one question for you guys.
This topic is huge !
I stopped reading a while ago because it seamed that most posts were related to the newest mods tha focus on GC compatibility and emulated nand.
That doesn't really interest me, as I have a Wiikey in my Wii and I'm able to play perfectly any GC game I have plus backups, I would love to play GC games off the HDD if performance was better ( as it is better with Wii games with faster loading times ) but as I understand it, there are still problems related to the audio streaming.
Now my question is: Is it worth it for me in any way to update CFG 70 to any of the recent mods if I don't care for GC compatibility or emulated nand ? Are there any improvement at all over the latest official version ? I wish I'd find a comprehensive readme with all the changes made after v70.
This topic is just too big to find all the answers !
Cheers

As far i know the updates into the loader are fully concentrated on GC games so it's not worthy to upgrade if you have (like me) no interest in that matter. I also stopped at v70 final.

2 more questions...

1. Can I use the combination of. WBFS usb hdd for Wii games and 32GB SDHC for gamecube games? and they will both show up in the gamelist at same time? I have this setup right now but cant try cause I only have a a 4GB sdhc card and its too full to put gamecube games on. This would be ideal since I wouldnt have to redo my usb hdd to fat32. just need to buy a 32Gb sdhc

2. Is it possible for these things to happen (future update?). Have flat (2d) covers as default in coverflow (already have this setup) but then when you click on a game the preview image is the "full" 3d rotating cover. Seem like the preview image has to be whatever the default view type is :( . Also! for the full view. you guys need to make it 25% smaller AND make it rotate faster. then it would be perfect!

The current version only supports NAND savegame emulation, no channel emulation.
I see, I misread, sorry about that.
So now that it is set to a path, does that mean my savegames are saved there? What if I still want to use the Wii's real NAND? I'm sorry but I can't find info on the app itself on how to configure this.

There should be a setting in the individual game setting menu that lets you use emulated nand for saves. If its off then its going to use a real nand game save and if its on the
its going to create a new game save on the usb drive or use the current save off of the usb drive if there is one.

For question 2 I have only to say that maybe you have many more options at least for the loader now. Check this http://gwht.wikidot.com/configurable-options It is an amazing page for CFG loader.

Also for your suggestion to be seen by developers you need to make in google code http://code.google.com/p/cfg-loader-mod/ in issues I think. Check also nand savegame emulation to save space in nand.

I think that there is no use for wbfs anymore. Fat32 maybe is the best you can have both your wii and GC games in it.

My scenario is fat32 sd kingston 8gb and 3tb ntfs drive(but I need this for personal video proccessing and there is no way to find 1tb space now to backup and reformat it in both ntfs and fat32 partitions now). And my problem of course is that I cannot have my 6 GC games in SD.

It depends on which GC loader you use.
Dios Mios has audio streaming problems, Devolution however does not
With both programs the games load as least as fast as from disc.
Both loaders still don't have a 100% game compatibility...but can play the bulk of GC games...and are still being improved on..

My advise is at least try it.

Thanks for the clarification, really, but like I said, I already have perfectly working backups that run flawlessly on my hard chipped Wii.
It seems too much work to get it up and running and still not get 100% compatibility.
Now with Wii games......I'll take USB loaders any day, and CFG is still my favorite.
Cheers.

I haven't been on this forum for quite some time. I am having a settings issue and could use a point in the right direction. I recently got a large skylanders collection and added it to my USB Loader. I have been running the official CFG forwarder for several years. After putting in the Wireless USB plug for the portal, the forwarder would not boot CFG loader. I then loaded a newer version from the front page of this forum and now it boots up from the wii menu just fine.

However, my wii will not recognize the Portal of Power so obviously the USB port is not working. I am running CFG 70-222.

The strange thing is I can go to the homebrew channel and run CFG Loader from there and the Portal is recognized and the game works fine. It would be nice if it would work using the forwarder channel. There has got to be a setting I need to change somewhere. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I think i came across a possible cover bug with the GC titles in Cfg. I've already discussed it with Yod4z in the Gametdb sticky here, but he says there's no problem with cover database.
http://gbatemp.net/t.../page__st__1215

no problem on gametdb for the link you posted, what ID are the game in configurable usb loader?

Hmm that's strange in Wiixplorer i checked the game ids and they show i labelled them as NTSC-U but they're showing up with PAL game ids in the Configurable info tab. Not sure what's happening here. Should i report it as a bug in the sticky for it?

Can anyone shed some light on it?

Edit: Oh and these are the games that are showing up with PAL covers

Anybody got any ideas why this loader gets stuck on pretty much every version for me while it's starting up? The screen freezes, the wiimote turns off and I'm forced to press and hold the power button on my console, which restarts it Bootmii. I have a LaCie hard drive that works perfectly fine with Tantric's emulators, WiiMC and uLoader. I have the latest cIOS installed on my Wii (222, 223, 224 and d2x v9) with the suggested bases for each one. Thank you.

cIOS d2x v9 is still beta, I've tried d2x v9 and it breaks my usb hdd. I've since reverted back to d2x v8 final. Give it a try and see what happens. The tantric emulators and WiiMC have nothing to do with any cIOS, and uLoader uses hermes cIOS.

If with "redo" you mean formating and copying all games again:
Thats possible but not neccessary to switch to fat32.
Simply converting it instead takes only a few minutes and keeps the games.

Reverted back to d2x v8, still the same thing it just simply freezes. Tried with the official and the mod version, both do the same thing. Oh well, at least Wiiflow seems to work perfectly with my HDD, so I guess I'll go with that one for games that require d2x to work
I know uLoader and those other apps are unrelated and use other cIOS and official IOS aswell, I was just mentioning so people wouldn't think it's because of a faulty HDD because it does work.. just not with CFG

For question 2 I have only to say that maybe you have many more options at least for the loader now. Check this http://gwht.wikidot.com/configurable-options
My scenario is fat32 sd kingston 8gb and 3tb ntfs drive(but I need this for personal video proccessing and there is no way to find 1tb space now to backup and reformat it in both ntfs and fat32 partitions now). And my problem of course is that I cannot have my 6 GC games in SD.
ntfs can be resized (eg with ntfsresize from ntfs-3g but there have to be windows tools too) while retaining data
you could shrink it to 2TB and create a 1TB fat32 partition after it

Actually, since you mention the 3tb total size of the drive, someone was mentioning on the main DM(L) thread that even if you have a FAT32 partition, any drive bigger than 2tb will NOT work with DiosMios because of the bigger sector size they need to stretch the drive size that big. I wouldn't want you to go through the extra effort of formatting or re-sizing or anything if it's just not going to work with GC games.

"In order to allow neek2o to run GC & quadforce install bc6.wad to emunand & leave this original 00000008.app untouched.
Copy diosmios.bin & quadforce.bin to sneek folder on device root.
Diosmioslite.bin has to be renamed to diosmios.bin in case u need it.
Neek2o will run the appropriate loader automatically.

P.s. You need neek2o 82+ with DI for this to work"

is there any chance of supporting this feature? such as, cfg loading the quadforce.bin when one of the Arcade GP games are selected?
i ask becasue id like to have DM/Quadforce simultaneously, so i was thinking of installing quadforce to my emunand, then installing a channel that autoboots the game.
quadforce only works from SD, so is there any chance of a setup that will achieve this? any help would be appreciated!
