If you used ModMii, u must be using a version of ModMii that is over a year old. Make sure you update ModMii or reinstall the latest version. Then drag and drop your syscheck log csv file onto ModMii.exe (i.e. open your syscheck csv log with ModMii). It will analyze your setup and help you update only what's outdated.
thanks for your reply according to modmii i am useing version 6.1.5 and it says it is up to date , i have done what to have advised with my syscheck log and it advised me on 2 files
  • cIOS249[56]-d2x-v8-final
  • cIOS250[57]-d2x-v8-final
so i have updated the wii console and i still get error 1167 while playing metroid other m and metroid trilogy .. here is new syscheck log done recheck with modmii and it says all files are up to date, the discs we are useing are verbatiam burned with imageburn at 2.4 . other games do work

Some question for XFlak (or who can answer me =P )
I try to understand how ModMii works for create Patched System Menu IOS.. for example: IOS50v16174(IOS60v6174[FS-ES-NP-VP-DIP]).wad

In my ignorance, I simply use sharpii for download base wad (IOS60-64-v6174.wad), then I use patchIOS for patch it:
patchIOS IOS60-64-v6174.wad -FS -ES -NP -VP -slot 50 -v 16174 -o IOS50v16174(IOS60v6174[FS-ES-NP-VP]).wad

but I see that you made more and more passages: nusd, wadmii, some change to content of the IOS, then re-use wadmii and finaly patchIOS.
(but I did not understand exactly how ModMii work, this batch file is very very very intricate and complex for me)

1) My procedure isn't correct? But I try it on my Wii without any problems.
2) -DIP patch is applied with the changes that you made on the file obtained with wadmii?
3) what is -DIP function?

I'm sorry if I waste your time with my doubts.

The DIP patch is what allows compatible Wii's to boot a backup disc from the recovery menu (also requires a cIOS). So it's useful for brick recovery depending on the type of brick. This is also required to load the banner of a backup disc in the disc channel (on compatible Wiis), so it's required for neocorp and\or darkcorp.

The DIP patch isn't supported by patchIOS, so in order to apply the DIP patch ModMii first downloads the IOS (nusd), then unpacks the IOS (wadmii), then diff patches the appropriate .app file (or hex edits it, I can't remember) then repacks it (wadmii again). Lastly ModMii changes the slot\version number (patchios).

The IOS you're creating will work fine, in fact that's how ModMii used to patch the IOS a long time ago (see ModMii changelog for details). But if you install your patched IOS60 to your system menu IOS slot it won't be able to load backup discs from the disc channel (at least not without changing the IOS used by the SM via priiloader) and you won't be able to autoboot a backup disc from the recovery menu in the event of a rare type of brick. This will only matter if the wii is old enough to be able to play backup discs anyways.

TBH, JoostinOnline knows more about the DIP patch than I do. I'm sure just mentioning his name will probably get his attention and he'll hopefully be able to add his 2 cents.

Lol, good guess XFlak. I have been summoned.

It's not a "DIP patch", it's a patched dip module. When the System Menu IOS has a patched dip module (which controls the disc drive), the System Menu will identify burned discs as if they were retail discs. It's exactly how DarkCorp works.

I think it's time for me to post again as well since i haven't been here for sometime. The GUI looks much nicer this time around but still prefer the old one for nostalgic reasons. Aside from that I'm still curious if whether there's a simple way to implement & play the original virtual console games I purchased of your hdd much like playing the games. i remember Xflak saying it's within the options however I'm stil lhesistant on doing so as I might screw something up but then again it's probably just me doubting myself which is ironic since i deal with higher end junk at work. Anyhow, I've also heard that tri force works but seems complex & not as streamlines as this which i prefer. please advise or if you have any other suggestions, i'd greatly appreciate it as I'd like to make this more simplistic then having to switch fro one wii to another & just consolidate this all into one. Thanks again.

You can run an emulated nand off an SD card (sneek\sneek2o) or a USB (uneek\uneek2o). You can build *neek and create a fresh emunand using ModMii. You can add channels\WADs to your emunand using ModMii and\or showmiiwads (using it's showmiinand view). You can grab showmiiwads from ModMii's download page 2. To extract WiiWare from your real nand, you can use bluedump or load your nand.bin backup using showmiiwads and extract titles\WADs on your PC. Alternatively, u can just extract your entire nand.bin backup and use it as your emunand, this will be an exact copy of your real nand, so it will include your gamesaves\mii's\channels\etc (you can copy gamesaves\mii's to a different emunand using gamesave manager or other tools if that's something you care about). Note that some people have more success using a fresh ModMii built emunand and others using their own extracted nand.bin dump; if one method doesn't work for you, try the other. Lastly, note that the latest HBC doesn't work on emunands, so you'll want to remove it from your extracted nand backup (if applicable). Also, IIRC showmiiwads has issues extracted a nand.bin if HBC v1.07+ is saved to the nand.bin (has to do with it's unique title id), to work around that, you can use giantpune's nandextract tool to browse\extract your nand.bin, then showmiiwads\showmiinand to make changes to it once it's already been extracted.

Btw, it's nice to hear that some ppl still prefer the classic look :D

So... I lost my SD card somehow. Dunno where it is.

My Wii is already modded and can run backups off my USB. Is it possible to run homebrew apps from my USB too and also update apps? Haven't updated the homebrew on my Wii in such a long time so I think I should get on that.

if you have the homebrew channel, you can access your apps from usb by going to the homebrew channel, press 1 on wiimote, choose usb, and that will load your HBC apps from usb. you must have the apps in a folder on the root of the drive called apps.
Done.

Okay cool.

Just thought of something else... since I lost my SD Card my nand backup is gone. Can that also be saved to the USB from bootmii or no? If not I do have a microSD card. Would that work?

after softmodding your wii with modmii, backup discs are not supposed to work from the disc channel, if your wii is compatible, u can load backups from neogamma or other loaders. If you insist on playing backups from the disc channel (which is inferior to usb backup loading) then u would need to install either neocorp (preferred) or darkcorp

No, ModMii's forwarder's aren't updated to 14b. Once FIX94 updates his "forwarder with meta.xml support" thread to v15 (I hate these v##abc rev's, lol) I'll update ModMii's forwarder builder. Eventually I'm going to replace joyflow with wiiflow and the joyflow forwarder with the latest wiiflow forwarder, and that'll eventually happen for sure cuz I can do without that thread being updated.

Use the ModMii Wizard to fully softmod you're Wii. After that, u have all the softmods you'll need to do everything with a few minor exceptions:
-backup disc loading from the main wii menu (neogamma backup disc loading will work fine)
-playing gamecube backups (requires Dios Mios or Dios Mios Lite or devolution)

After running the modmii wizard (including usb-loader setup), it will explain how to use a usb-loader to make and run backups of your games. If you insist on backup disc loading, you'll also need to save neogamma to your SD card (or FAT32 HDD) which can be found on ModMii Classic's download page 2. To make backup discs, rip your original discs using cleanrip or another loader, then plug your HDD or SD card into your PC and burn the image that you ripped to a disc (if the image isn't already iso, you can convert it to an ISO using wii backup manager so that you can burn it using normal burning software, like imgburn or nero)
thanks for your reply which one of these is best and easy to set up for gamecube games Dios Mios or Dios Mios Lite or devolution , and i was woundering if there are programs that you can play dvd or music from and other game emulators like sega, thanks again for your help

darkcorp isn't recommended as it drastically changes many files on your Wii. Neocorp is basically a priiloader hack to launch a hidden channel (i.e. neogamma) once the disc channel is selected, so it can be disabled simply be disabling the priiloader hack, and it can be completely removed by also uninstalling the hidden channel. So if it's a choice between the two, neocorp is the way to go. But running a USB-Loader instead is still the prefered method.

FYI, you can play backup GC discs from the disc channel by installing a cMIOS (available on ModMii's download page 4). You can even burn multiple GC games onto one disc.

If you want to run GC games off an SD card, use Dios Mios Lite (DML) or devolution. If you want to run GC games off a USB HDD, use Dios Mios or devolution. I've never tried either so I can't comment on which is better.
