I have not tried d2x-v8 yet. I was thinking that even if Priiloader was out of the equation, the Reload IOS option in GX should allow IOS58 to load just before WiiMC, when in Channel Mode. Everytime I try to change the option to IOS58, it says its not found and changes to 200. I am sure 58 is installed.

I think you do not understand how IOS reloading works.
You could try to use ios 202 for WiiMC.

That's very possible. I just thought since the term reload was being used, that it would drop the GX 249 cIOS and then load the one stipulated in the settings menu, hince the word Reload. Just like the COD games, they have to be changed in the Game Load settings to load 250 [57].

I did try 202 at first, because I actually thought that was the one WiiMC used. Then found out it was actually IOS58. 202 did not work either.

Do you are anyone else know if WiiMC has ever been loaded using GX Channel Mode before? It may just not be possible due to WiiMC coding.

Thanks for your help on this, BTW.

UPDATE:
Tried 249[56]dx2 v8 r40 and It did not work either.

does the legend of zelda: skyward sword(ntsc u) work with usb loader gx ver 2.2, on a 4.2u wii?
I have been told it checks if you are on 4.3, while playing(?!)

@ramidavis :
It's false.
I'm on 3.2E and Zelda works fine.
The game doesn't check your system menu version (and no games are doing it, as they don't need the System menu at all to work).

@slaydesigns:
You can't select IOS

Thanks Cyan. I appreciate your time and attention on this. That means a lot.
The only reason I am trying to use the Channel Loader to run WiiMC is due to the corruption of the settings file when using Homebrew Launcher. The corruption must be happening due to Priiloader loading GX, then launching WiiMC. If that wasn't happening, then I would not need the IOS58 reload function. I load all other apps like WiiMod, WiiXplorer, Priiloader Settings from the Homebrew Launcher anyway.

I am just looking for a way to launch WiiMC using USB Loader GX.

I recently used wbfs2fat to convert my entire single wbfs partiton to fat32, and now I can't get my game list to display properly in GX. The titles appear perfectly fine in WiiBackupManager like this:

Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity
Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil Zero

But the game list in GX formats them like this:

Sonic RIders - Zero Gravity
Resident Evil Archives - Resident Evil Zero

Before using wbfs2fat I had Wiitdb titles disabled in GX and the list still showed the ":" correctly, instead of replacing all of them with "-". If I turn Wiitdb titles on in the GX settings it fixes the issue, but then none of my custom titles work (even if I allowed both wii disc header and wbfs header changes in the WBM settings).

So what is causing GX to not read/display the titles from the header(s) on a fat32 partition, but it read/displayed them on a wbfs partition? The current layout of the fat partition is:

x:/wbfs/Title [GameID]/

Basically, how do I get GX to diplay titles based on the header(s) and not replace all of the ":" with "-"? The reason I don't want to simply use the Wiitdb titles, is that I do not like the way some of them are listed. Okami for example, is displayed as "kami" and placed at the very bottom of the list when system font is enabled in GX. WIth system font DISabled... it still lists it at the bottom but with the line above the O in Okami.

Is it possible to have GX list things they way they are listed in WiiBackupManager? The same way they were listed before converting from wbfs to fat32, and without the use of Wiitdb titles?

The ":" was converted because it's a non compatible character on FAT32.
I don't think there's a "title header" in FAT32 to use as game name.

The rename feature was for WBFS drives (stored internally in the WBFS sectors, not in the iso).

Did you try to rename the game again using GX rename option?
I didn't check how it's working in the sources. Is it using the folder's "Title" name? (x:/wbfs/Title [GameID]/)

Used this today and now there is no text list for my games in USB Loader GX. I guess I should say it's there, but the text for the game list is invisible. Any idea on how to fix it?

Edit: Figured it out. Loaded the drive in WiiBackupManager and used the "Update storage convention" option.

the naming convention use by wbfs2fat is
x:\wbfs\ID6.wbfs
its the oldest and simplest I know

if gx does not want to support that - is there some other simple one that ALL loaders support?

ID6 is better when converting to FAT32 as you don't have to care about incompatible characters.

USBLoaderGX should be working with wbfs/ID6.wbfs

Working:
x:/wbfs/GAMEID6.wbfs
x:/wbfs/TITLE[GAMEID6]/GAMEID6.wbfs
x:/wbfs/GAMEID6_TITLE/GAMEID6.wbfs

Not working:
x:/wbfs/GAMEID6/GAMEID6.wbfs

I guess all is possible, it just need to be coded.
I'm not good enough in C++ to make it myself, so Dimok is currently the only dev working on all the update and fixes.

What would be better is using Wiitdb.xml + keeping track of manually renamed titles (in the game .cfg for example), and display both at the same time.
The titles are then stored in the cache so it shouldn't be a problem to read and restore the titles on next boot. Only one file would be opened to find all the titles, not one by one (unless you disable or delete the cache).

Either way is fine with me, as long as the outcome is the same. I did just try changing the storage convention back to x:\wbfs\ID6.wbfs and all of the titles disappeared again in GX. You can scroll through the games, all of the disc/cover art is still displayed, and the number of games and free space is also shown correctly. The game title text just goes invisible for some reason. I then changed it back to x:/wbfs/title [gameid6]/gameid6.wbfs and GX displayed the titles again.

Edit: So what you're saying is that it would be better to use the wiitdb.xml - but to also have GX save any renames to a seperate file that would override anything in the wiitdb.xml... but if no changes have been made it would use the default wiitdb title?

Having trouble with USBLoaderGX; I'm using an 8GB memory stick to store the WBFS file on, and put it on the memory stick using Wii Backup Manager. When I boot up USBLoaderGX, it says 'waiting for slow HDD,' then says it's loading cIOS 249, then says 'loaded cIOS 222' and hangs on that for about two minutes. Finally it goes to a white page and says 'Error! USB Device not found'

I'm not sure what the problem is; USB memory sticks can be used, right?

Yes. It would be better that user's title override the Wiitdb.xml's title, but it no user title is set then it use the one from Wiitdb.xml

As for the missing titles (but not missing games, as they are listed), then I think it's a bug.
All path/filename pattern compatible with GX should work fine and display the titles.

If you use x:/wbfs/ID6.wbfs but enable title from Wiitdb.xml, do you have the titles displayed or still blank?

anyone know what settings to change to make a pal game go color on a ntsc wii?
Try video mode : Force NTSC (or Force NTSC 480p)
If it doesn't help, try the VidTV patch too, but forcing NTSC should be enough.
Also, If you can, use component cable and you won't have problem anymore.

Yes, USB stick can be used.
Did you try other USB Devices and only your stick is not working?
I think you didn't install the required cIOS correctly. post a syscheck log, or rehack your Wii with modmii (just don't install the included usbloader forwarder channel if you don't need it).

It freeze for all PAL games forced into NTSC?
If not all games are freezing, maybe the game he try to launch doesn't have the NTSC signal in the boot, but I don't remember any report from users with such games.

Oh, and if it's old I think Progressive will not work, only force interlaced signal.

A friend had a similar problem for playing NTSC games on an old French TV, I found that only "patch video mode : auto" worked fine.
I think the "auto" is now named "Region Patch".
Try "Video mode: region patch" and "VIDTV: enable".

If it still doesn't work, he can try all possible combinations of signals and patching.
And if none worked, then I guess there's no solution.

I tried another memory stick and that didn't work either, same thing. I'm quite new to Wii hacking actually, I've only done it with PSPs in the past and although I managed to get by alright until now I'm still not entirely sure about it.

All path/filename pattern compatible with GX should work fine and display the titles.

If you use x:/wbfs/ID6.wbfs but enable title from Wiitdb.xml, do you have the titles displayed or still blank?

They are displayed in that instance. Also, no idea if it matters or not but I just tried CFG and it properly displays the permanently renamed internal titles with the ":" symbol(s). No titles.txt, wiitdb.xml or anything similar enabled. I was thinking that possibly the invisible text in GX would be displaying the same thing - if it weren't for it being invisible? I'm going to check the order of the invisible list and see where Okami/Ōkami/kami is placed by looking at the artwork.

Edit: The "invisible" list seems to have no sorting pattern. It is not A-Z, ID6, install date or location based. I didn't delve too much into it so I'm not sure exactly what the pattern was. There is one I'm sure, but if one were to just glance at it - it would appear random.

First fo all i wouldlike to thank to all the team in USBLoader GX for a wonderfull loader.
My problem is the next: i've been testing NAND emulation for DLC of the game Just Dance 2 and Just DAnce 3, i have 12 songs of just dance 2 and 15 of just dance .
When i dump my nand with the 5 song from dance 2, it all work ok but then when i copy other 5 songs the game just freeze with i werid sound.
The same goes with Just Dance 3, hangs in the message looking content from SD.
The dol from loader is in a SD, and the NAND is in a fat32 32KB partition i use for Homebrew in my 500GB Seagate 3'5 HDD. Using the latest d2x v7 CIOS.
