Alive, yes.
Sleeping, very much so.

Why? Little thing called life getting in the way... When it gets out of my way (hopefully soon), I'll be continuing on this project and release Demo 4, which will have world 3 completed.

I have been too busy between school and other activities to spend much time at all... Since the last release, I have only been able to do around 5 levels, and they are not complete...

Hopefully for Christmas Break this year, I will be able to do more...

I have every intention to continue and complete this, its just that more important things have hindered me for *quite* some time...

I will be getting a custom-built desktop up and running in a couple weeks

After I move over all my stuff from my laptop, I'll resume work on NRMB (probably ~5th of Nov)
Hoping on having W3 complete by Thanksgiving

Then I will work on 4 (my favorite world)

Although, when Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii comes out, I might spend a couple days with that...

If you want to use updated graphics, one way to do it would be to use fceux and set the setting to one of the improved graphics settings. Rip the tilesets, and then re-import into your game. Don't forget the transparencies as well. Just start off with a layer in Photoshop.

I would go with whatevers most realistic to your time and allows you to release the game in a shorter span.

The game does not allow partial transparency, just color or transparent.

I just realized something... Its been so long that I've completely forgotten how NSMBe works and how some of my sprite stuff is set up... This might take longer to get used to than expected :/

I'm pretty new to this forum, but I like what I've seen. I really hope you get to release a final. Between this & Newer SMBW inspired me to try some tools for creating levels and custom Mario stuff. I've this entire thread to see how it evolved and it inspired me. So much so, I want to ask to test. But, I wasn't sure if you needed testers. I know this post probably seems kinda random, hope I didn't creep you out. I wanted to tell you that. Not sure what intentions was to say, but they're good. Looking forward to more the project.
